I really like this kit. I have never done one of these before, so I wasn't sure what to expect. It is a very detailed kit with lots of small parts. You have to be VERY detail-oriented to avoid having to disassemble things and flip parts over or re-orient them occasionally. I have gotten lots better as I've progressed with the assembly. I find it engrossing and relaxing because of this required deep attention to the instructions. It completely distracts me from my daily troubles. I am probably 2/3 done with it at this time. The most frustrating part of it for me has been the lights. I will say the directions are all pictorial in nature and sometimes it is hard to see where the red lines are pointing to within the illustration. I've fumbled a bit here and there, but I do like it a lot.The parts are very detailed and nice-looking. For parts that have very thin details that you have to snap out, they even give backups in case you break one! I was very impressed by that and I did have to use one of the backups (candelabra on the piano). Everything is thin wood and you snap them out of the sheet of wood. It generally snaps out very well, but you do have to be careful. There is even one part that bends. It's amazing the detailed pattern they had to use to achieve that.Overall, I am very impressed with this am enjoying it a lot!

The kit includes almost everything you need—except for two AA batteries and a bit of tape.I really love these kits! They’re engaging to put together and add a unique charm to my bookshelves. This particular design is beautiful, with intricate details that make it stand out. The included tweezers are incredibly helpful for handling the tiny pieces. The directions are straightforward, though some steps might be a bit challenging. Overall, it’s a lovely project that will take a few hours but adds so much character to any shelf. This is not my first book nook, but it was one of the easier kits I've done. There were some fiddily bits, and I did break some things (RIP the back of the piano). It used less glue than I'm used to, though I thought there were a few places where I should have used glue regardless. The instructions are mostly easy to follow. There were a few spots where the details were hard to see, and I never understood what to do with part of the light. But overall it came together well.

Most of them come in black and white, so can be a bit hard to follow. It also comes with adhesive. Most kits do not, and they give you quite a lot with a very nice little squeeze bottle. There are no extra accessories or tools.This is BY FAR the easiest book nook I've ever done. Generally they come with pages and pages of stickers where you assemble a lot of the pieces yourself. This has no stickers and very few pieces. It goes together very quickly. If you're new to putting these kits together, this is definitely a good place to start. It's a simple puzzle, but still looks really pretty. It may not be as involved as other kits, but you'll still get the full book nook effect when it's on your shelf.
