A fantastic value
I like to hike and a lot of my gear choices are based on weight. This is the perfect knife for hiking. It's light and strong and imposing. I highly recommend this product.

A Mora Alternative Gerber Knock Off
When you buy a knife like this, you need to ask yourself why? For me it has certain utility: a). Fishing b). Hunting c). Feathering d). Light Utility e). Limited Protection f). Foraging/Prepping. It's not for chopping, and it's not for batoning. It's not a fighting knife. It's not garbage. The last Gerber I bought was produced with 7CR13 steel in China, and the blade rolls from any type of medium to vigorous use. It didn't come as sharp as this knife. It costed roughly twice as much. Gerber is a name from the 1980s that doesn't sell with me - I really don't like most of their knives, and I would easily replace a Gerber with a Chinese knock off made in the same factory. Gerber isn't all that, and I'll be honest - it never was. If you got a Mark II back in the 1980s instead of an Applegate Fairbairn or an Al Mar, you probably weren't very serious. This knife is light but functional, arm shaving sharp with a CR13 (and I don't know which CR13) steel which doesn't roll or blunt as quickly as a Gerber. It is equivalent to a stainless Mora for roughly a little less or the same money. Is it worth it? You can spend $60 for the Gerber and have to work to get the edge this thing comes from the factory with to get the same utility.A bug out bag toss in knife which will not be a waste of space and come in handy.I'm not one to toss knives around as I'm a grown up and a knife is your last hope in a situation. It's not a spear and shouldn't be thrown at anything. I suppose you could throw this knife, but you'd be better served in tossing old spark plugs, hand sized stones, hardballs or bricks if you need to throw something to get out of a difficult situation.I give this item five stars as I give Mora knives 5 stars for what they are - if I paid $60 for the Gerber with the semi-dull edge which rolls they come with I'd be giving that a 2. If you don't need a stainless Mora-esque utility knife, you don't need this knife. If the blade were thicker and 2 - 3" longer and made of at least 1075 carbon steel, I'd pay $6 - $7 more for it, but then it would be a Kabar alternative. The sheath is cheap but functional - I would prefer it in ODG or Coyote and I'd pay $2 more for a ferro rod.

A nice cheap knife
Overall a nice cheap knife. I would not try to split wood with it, but for light camping or work related tasks, it serves it's purpose. Takes and loses its edge easily, I was using this knife to stir up fire ants and then use a powder to kill them, it's nice for plunging to the nest and giving them a stir, but the blades edge doesn't hold up vs some other knives. Yes I'm aware that's a torture test, but a few passes with a cheap sharpener and it's good to go again. It will strip wire, cut tape, and cardboard but does get dull after a few slices of cardboard. The blade is flexible, have bent or broken it, but I've seen it flex a bit.The sheath is ok. The belt loop holder is not awesome. I have sat down and pushed it right off the belt. Also tried a bolt on belt carrier, it doesn't seem to have holes in what I'm guessing are a "standard" spacing. I got it to screw down enough it works.

great for the price
it's a truck or tool box knife. thin blade ( think kitchen blade) but decent quality. Not a get you through anything knife but it will do most things well enough . Wouldn't try batoning wood or cutting drums open with it. sheath is decent and mora like .Over all a good back up pack knife.

Definitely not a Gerber Strong arm
The blade thickness is less than half of my Strong ArmIt makes a good glove box or boat knife. I wouldn’t trust it as a survival knife. Flissa has a much better knife with a thick heavy D2 Scandi grind blade and leather sheath for about the same price.

Great truck knife.
Can’t beat it for the price. This is what I call a “truck knife”. Keep it in the truck for all sorts of uses. If I break it or lose then I didn’t really lose much. But. The knife appears durable. The sheath not so much but I don’t plan on wearing it. Blade is thick, glass break end is thick.May buy another set and keep on tractor and camper.
