I have made several weighted blankets over the years. Back when they were a relatively unusual item and not commercially available. I know a good weighted blanket when I see it. I am impressed with this one. The fabric is soft but not thin or cheap. The top side is a soft minky and the underside more of a cotton feel. The edges are sewn with a quarter inch binding. Since these blankets get tugged on a lot and they are heavy, having a good binding is key to keep it from falling apart. And this kind of binding is easier to repair too, if ever it needs it. The glass beads are the small kind, making them more like sand than beads. This is the most comfortable option to use in blanket. And the stitching looks even and strong. I ordered the dark gray and it is gorgeous. It comes in a square dustproof zipper pouch. It was so nicely packaged that I felt like i was opening a gift. It weighed in on my home scale at 14.6lbs, but could be my scale is a bit off. Overall, I am very pleased with it!

I had only heard of weighted blankets, and assumed these were just for warmth. But the pressure of the weighted blanket is the main benefit, since it makes me feel cozy and relaxed. I purchased the smallest and lightest size (5 lbs) as a throw that I can use when I nap on the couch, but even this size and weight is awesome for daddy's nap time, and it's just warm enough when the AC is blasting. I'm now a believer!

Blanket is super comfy and the weighted feel is great! The beads are so small you can't even really feel them either, and the texture is very soft. My only gripe with this blanket is that I've had it less than a month and there is already a torn stitch. I've not been aggressive with the blanket, just using it as intended so unsure how long it will last.

This weighted blanket is awesome! It feels great. The material is soft and cozy, but is not too hot. Is heavy enough but not overwhelmingly so. I really like the balance on this blanket.My husband tried to share it with me, but even though is generously sized, it's only good for one person. So, that means, I'll have to get another one for him, if I ever want to use this one. lol.I like the texture of the bumps. If you have a twin bed, you can even use it as a comforter to make your bed in the morning. If you have a full/queen-size bed, you might want to use it as an accent.I love it.

Really love this blanket, it's very comfortable. Has a really nice weight to it without being too heavy, and I really like the way the sand feels under the surface. The color is also really nice. No complaints so far, I've really been enjoying it.

This is my first weighted blanket. I ordered it to use during the winter because it makes for such a cozy sleep. However, I find I’m using it, as well, when I’m in my recliner and dozing. Just know it’s very heavy, so if you’re claustrophobic you might feel it’s too much. As for me, it has given me some very restful sleeps and I’m thrilled with it. The blanket itself has little beaded bumps all over it to give it its weight. The material is so soft and comfy. Just wrap yourself in it, and enjoy!
