This thing is built like a tank, everything just seems very well made. I have repaired my spigot at least 3 times with a Mansfield style repair kit. Finally I said screw it and just re-did the entire thing using this SharkBite Sillcock. Super easy to use, just follow the directions... I'm a big DIY'r so last time I used a SharkBite product, I didn't even read the directions and had a minor leak, only because I didn't allow enough pipe to enter the shark bite fitting. Get a shark-bite Deburrer tool, and you can use that to mark how deep you have to insert the pex/cooper into the fitting. Worked great.

Super easy install and zero issues

Super easy to install on existing pipe. Who knows how long it will last. Super easy system I wish I thought of it.

I gave this 4 stars because it’s easy to install and replace. It works great, just for only about 10-12 months then it starts leaking, I’ve went through 4 of these so far, replaced every year. I’ve also tried to contact Sharkbite about this issue with no response.

I bought this for my dad. He wanted a longer one to reach past a couple of floor joists, which it did perfectly. Worked fine, no leaks, no problems.

Works fine and easily installed

Replaced an outdoor sillcock with this new one. Worked like a charm and easy install. This brand is a bit pricier but it would seem that is the price of convenience.

I ordered two of the 15" Sharkbite frost free sillcocks (what a brutal name). As far as the install goes they are stupid easy. The surprising missing link...nowhere on the instruction sheet does it say what size of hole is required to slide that sucker into. I'll save you the trouble and say use a 1-1/4" bit. I saw one other mention of 1-1/8" by another person but other than that... nothing else on the internet. Nothing on SB's site either. Its like a KFC secret or something.But once you get past that you're on easy street. I was using pex so other than me pre-marking said pex so that I knew I was pushed in enough it was a smooth install.Its too bad that these taps aren't a 1/4 turn style system. The few moving parts the better. I can't find anyone local in central Alberta that sells replacement parts so crossing my finger that this these things last several years. $68ea isn't exactly cheap if they don't have longevity.
