This machine is great! I’m a professional tattoo artist with 17 years experience and for the price this machine exceeds my expectations! The stroke variation is the star of the show here. I can do the work of multiple machines with just this one, lining and stipple shading at 4.2 strokes packing at 3.9 and soft shading at 3.3-3.6 it’s got everything you need! I love the ability to preset my voltages and the screen is easy to read even through the black machine bags I wrap it with and the jumpstart mode for pushing my needle groupings has plenty of power even for my 35curved mags. I was worried about the brushless motor not having enough power but so far that isn’t the case. I’ve been using this a few times a week and it holds its own against the more expensive and time tested machines in my arsenal. My style of tattooing hasn’t given me the opportunity to use the dot work mode yet but I could definitely see it being useful if your doing a lot of dot work or even the glitter style that’s been popular lately. I am sure there’s an application for the dot work mode for stipple shading as well but I just do it the old school way with the high stroke setting lower voltage and a quick whip hand speed and I get the nice smooth pepper shading I love. I can’t say enough good things about the Aquila. The battery’s life is great but I definitely need the backup battery just because I stay so busy. Of course I love my bishop wand but this machine will be a part of my arsenal forever assuming it lasts the heavy use I’m putting it through, I can’t wait to see if it still functions as well in two years. If your an apprentice I recommend this machine highly, you can master any style you’re looking to get into with just this pen or if you’re a veteran artist like myself this is a quality yet affordable machine to add to your collection. My only gripe is there’s no way to get replacement or disposable grips for this machine. I’d like to see wormhole make a disposable grip in the future.

i love this tattoo machine it has a great weight to it. it has different modes for line work and dot work and the buttons and lcd and battery feel quality compaired to other machines. this is a great buy for anyone that's tattooing beginner or professional and it was a very nice upgrade to my first machine from poseidon i recommend this machine for you or if gifting they will love it.

Amazing tattoo machine runs super quiet and has some amazing features like the dot work setting!!!! Excited to keep this one as one of my reliable machines! Also the fact you have many options when it comes to the stroke was super awesome! Manual that comes with the machine is very helpful and explains how to use all the features and use of the machine!

Not sure how to use it to it's full potential. But it does a great job . The weight is perfect. Yes I would and will buy it again easily

Very happy with this purchase! If you are just starting out like me than this is perfect. It has an adjustable stroke as well as fine tuning the depth. The machine has a good weight and the batteries last around 5-6 hours. Would buy again.

This is a great, probably a step up from an entry level tattoo gun. It has the power of a professional tattoo gun without the cost of one. The power supply lasts through several hours especially when there are 2 batteries that can be changed to continue the work. The motor, which is brushless, runs well and smooth. The grip of the gun does not cause major strain on the hands and the modes and options open up for a wide variety of projects.
