I ordered 5 of these trees for my grandkids. Initially I thought we could do it as a craft project, but it was too tedious & time consuming for ages 4-10. Also, since the assembly required continuous glue gunning, I was not keen on my grandkids around a hot glue gun.I was very satisfied with the end result, it took me about 2 hours to finish one tree, but I ended up adding a lot more of the pipe cleaners for the tree branches -- the kit called for 35 pieces, I probably used 100 & it turned out really full & nice. Looking forward to giving it to them for the Christmas season to put in each of their rooms.

This kit is cute. It took a few days to put together and I used tacky glue instead of the included hot glue. I also took a scrap stick and used some of the extra pipe cleaners, as plenty were included, to rig the trunk differently. Overall, it's a nice holiday decoration that my 7 year old enjoyed helping me with and it would also work in a dollhouse with a tall enough ceiling or the height could be adjusted some during construction.

I wouldn't say it would be easy for a three year old. A great holiday project for all ages!!

This is a toy project definitely need the adults to step in and help the kids! With 100 pieces of pipe cleaners and all other accessories that need to be assembled from square one, it does take some patience to work through with the kids, as well as quite a lot of glue gel. However, it is very stimulating and helps with coordination. All the materials and pieces seems to be well made, instruction is good enough to follow, challenging yet it is a family gathering project to enhance bonding. The result, once finished, is very satisfying for both the kids and the adults. Now such happiness is well shared and well worth the time and effort.

All my grandson ever wants for any gift giving occasion is pipe cleaners! He's been obsessed with them for about 3 years, he's almost 13. This year he wanted to get a small tree for him bedroom - so when I saw this it was the perfect gift! My daughter got bored 30 seconds in, so I continued to make the ugliest Christmas tree that ever appeared on Earth. Here's what you need to know.1. You have to use your own glue gun and glue sticks. They give you 2 glue sticks, but they were so thin, I think they were made for an elf glue gun.2. You have to glue ten million pipe cleaner pieces in place. I burned my finger a hundred times, and the profanities I spewed made this an inappropriate child activity. Good thing my daughter got bored and left me to it.3. There's a useless bag of little pearls in there. Maybe I was supposed to glue them to the tree? But after an hour of third degree burns, I was done.4. In addition to green and brown pipe cleaners, the set also has gold and red pipe cleaners. So, there's that5. The set has jeweled stickers, which are also useless. But my daughter will use those somewhere else.All in all, this was a bad buy. Point blank. The end.

This is a great gift for my daughter because she wanted to make her own tree. This DIY pipe cleaner Christmas tree was just what she wanted. All the steps were easy to follow, and she stays concentrated and patient when she glows all the tree branches onto the board. It made her so confident and proud, Best of all it is handmade so it’s very special and unique. I love that it has all the accessories and even light strings to make the tree more bright. It’s such a beautiful idea and my kids all loved to be part of it.
