Rumba is great.
Love the Rumba Helps keep the house clean while we are at work. Lakes for less housing cleaning during the week. My only issue is that sometimes it gets stuck and when I get home I find it somewhere. Easy to setup and use.

Watching this thing is painful - dead after 3 months
So, it works. It runs every other day and the house looks pretty clean all the time, except for one area rug that clings to dog fur like iron filings to an electromagnetic crane—even our Dyson can never get that thing pristine. But, holy _crap_ is it painful to watch. This thing manages to trap itself in open areas constantly, where it'll bump into an obstacle, back up, turn around and go back a foot or two, turn back around, and run into the same spot on the same obstacle. It's even worse if there are two obstacles near each other.I would almost think that its map is strongly indicating there is supposed to be reachable area just around that obstacle, but the obstacle isn't on the map (a moved dog bed, a chair slightly out of place). Except, the maps it generates are incomprehensible. It doesn't even show its home on the maps, and the fact it frequently takes 30 minutes to find its home confirms it has no idea where it is or what the house looks like. It's painful to watch in the same way that it's painful to watch someone hunt-and-peck at 2 words per minute and repeatedly make typos. What's genuinely irritating, though, is knowing that this thing is wasting time and battery going over areas it's already visited, trapping itself in corners, and convincing itself that it's trapped in an imaginary corner. Oh, and that it'll report it cleaned 600sqft when I know for a fact that it got stuck in a closet for 45 minutes.Update: It got so lost trying to find its home that it ran out of battery and died (about six feet from home, btw, where it had been for twenty minutes). And I do mean it _died_. I put it on the charger and it hasn't charged after two days. I've tried holding the button to reboot it per the instructions, reseating the charger contacts, even opened the battery compartment to check the connection there. It's dead.Update 2: after sitting on the charger for four more days, it actually woke back up. I'd already ordered a replacement from Shark by then, though.

love the robot vacuum, but got a defected this time
My 1st was 3 years ago, still running very well, just need some part to take care.I buy 2 on Amazon Prime day with a very deal. The combo robot, vacuum + mob, running well, I live the mob combo. But another is the vacuum only, does not work as usual. The 1st problem is the spinning brush come off during clean. 2nd problem is the robot return home and charging, the robot status on app show that it off line, not connected to wifi. I try to reconnect it, but the problem remains. It must be manufactured defected. So, I decide to return it. But keep the combo. Will try to get different model when there is the good deal next time.

We love it and haven't had a problem
We love it! We do the first floor of our house with it multiple times a week. We have custom vinyl flooring and some really flat carpet and it works great. I can't say how it would work on a real plush carpet because we don't have any but I'm definitely happy with it.

Low quality poor performing Roomba .. buy a higher priced one!
I fell for the low price and regret it. I have owned Roombas for more than a decade and my current one is starting to lose battery power. I decided to get the low priced one as a backup. I should have just popped for a new higher priced model. This thing has about 50% of the qualities of the others.. It has one brush roller while my old one has two. Everything about it is cheap, lightweight and seems fragile. It requires two full cycles to actually pick up debris and to cover the whole room. It failed to get small crumbs in the indentation of tile grout in the kitchen. Just went right over them. When I go over an area of the floor with a wet paper towel after the Roomba has gone over it, there are still small bits of dirt and dust. I missed the return window by 2 days or otherwise I would have sent it back and bought a more expensive one. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR is absolutely true. Spend the money for a better one!Update 2/21/25. I am even more disappointed in this thing. It can't redock itself but tries over and over and over...and even when I put it on the dock, right on the contacts, it won't start charging unless I put a sock under it to elevate it a little bit. It's ridiculous.
