Effective fan but not silent
The motor might be silent but the rush of air out of our kitchen is not. However it keeps the house free from the smell of cooking and the air in the kitchen fresh.

Unreliable, lasts only a few hours.
Certainly not silent, but much quieter than previous 6" fan. After a few hours use did go silent though. 2nd one in a row to do this. LED behind cover on but fan not running. Returned again for refund. Shame as the design with the rubber motor mounts did make a difference.

Efficient and relatively quiet
Not quite silent, of course, but much quieter than some I've tried. It does a good job of keeping our large bathroom fog-free and has an adjustable 'over-run' timer if required. It is also quite slim and clean-looking. The You-Tube video demonstration is worth a look - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k5rlDfWPAgw.

Noisy after 6 months use.
Had the original fan for years before it became too noisy. Bought identical replacement and become too noisy within 6 months. Seems the quality of the newer fans isn't as good as they used to be.

Noiser than expected, lasted 4.5yrs
Bought this back in late December 2014 and it died about a week ago (July 2019)Good points - it extracts a lot of airBad points - Got full of dust and clogged easily (why extractor fans lack a dust cover I do not know!), was way noisier then expected. A lot of this was due to it vibrating the ceiling, which made the noise louder - I'm sure a better job by me to fix it to something a bit more sturdy and less likely to vibrate might have helped.Saying that - I'm looking to replace it with the smaller 100mm model, so it can't be all that bad?!

Stopped working in less than a year
Less than a year after buying this fan it failed. Light comes on, but the actual motor has stopped working. The box says 5 years warranty, so I tried contacting the manufacturers. They told me that since it was bought by an unofficial supplier, they would not honour the warranty. As of yet I have not heard back from this Amazon seller.
