Veuve Clicquot La Grande Dame 2015 is a collaboration between Veuve Clicquot and Paola Paronetto, the famous Italian ceramicist. The tactile label is based Paronetto's Cartocci collection and the design is said to be portraying joy and optimism.La Grande Dame is a tribute to Madame Clicquot who is famous for saying around 200 years ago "Our black grapes give the finest white wines" and Pinot Noir makes up 90% of this blend with the other 10% being Chardonnay. La Grande Dame 2015 is an exceptional vintage thanks to the Pinot Noir grapes harvested in a sunny year from the historical Grands Crus.The champagne is a golden colour that sparkles. On tasting there are initial notes of jasmine and honeysuckle and followed by apple and peach followed by a final almond like aroma. In the mouth there is a taste with hints of fruits, nuts and honey. The champagne has a silkiness in the mouth.
