The actual tracker is inexpensive considering the technology built in. To get functionality a subscription is required. Nonetheless, with a two year subscription, I think it works out at really good value, especially with the peace of mind it brings. In use, the tracker finds GPS and G4 networks quickly and the location indicated on the map in the app is very accurate and in virtually real time. The LIVE feature is especially useful. The app is intuitive but does seem to eat up data if left on continuously. The battery life is more than adequate and the unit can be charged with a USB-c connector.The app has additional features including health monitoring by measuring pulse and breathing rates.Very pleased with my purchase.

I purchased the latest Tractive 6 for our pup via Amazon UK and it arrived the very next day. So far, so good! The build quality is excellent, battery life is excellent (depletes 6% - 7% daily), the App is easy to navigate and use and most of all, when tracking my dog it's spot on.BE WARNED...You need a subscription to use these trackers (that's one subscription per tracker). I did my homework prior to purchasing mine, so I wasn't disappointed by finding this out after purchasing. I chose a 5-year premium plan which cost at the time of this review £240. Tractive also offer 1 (£96) and 2 (£120) year premium plans.Alongside their subscription plans, Tractive offers a service called Tractive care. My advice is don't waste your money on this (I did). You can only make a claim twice if you have a 2 or 5 year subscription and once if you have a 1-year subscription. I haven't had to make a claim to date, so I can't comment on how well the claims process works, but I feel like I would be better off simply purchasing another tracker from Amazon and then transferring the subscription from the old device over to the new device. It would actually work out cheaper this way if you had a 1-year subscription, and you would get the latest model! Tractive care will only replace like for like.The negatives...1. Support - It's email only and going by the reviews of others, one can expect to wait up to five days for a response.2. Refunds - If you stop using the service for any reason, you will NOT receive a refund for any remaining months of your subscription.Final thoughts...All in all, I'm happy with my purchase. So much so, I just purchased a second tracker to put on our 10-year-old pooch.

the tracker is nice and compact however i dont mine buying the tracker and paying a subscription monthly but no you have to pay every 2/3 years starting at £168 up front not worth that may as well buy the pit pat tracker for £159 no subsciptions

Neat, secure, lightweight. I wouldn’t like to be without it now as having had it only a couple of weeks, it has already alerted me to my dog having escaped the garden. I am very pleased with the tracker but the battery needs charging quite frequently, despite being put in ‘low power’ mode. Also, a few scary times when on ‘live’ function, my dog appeared to be outside the garden and along the road. This I think is down to the satellite signal though, not the actual tracker. I haven’t tried the ‘health’ functions as I only need the tracking function. I would rather not keep having the pop-ups suggesting I create a ‘safe boundary’ alert. If I want a function, I will seek it out myself. Also, I turned it on ‘live’ one day, only to be shown where my dog had already been (? - he had been in the house with me ) and the tracker lines covered an area it was not even possible to access. A glitch I am assuming.

Easy to Use. Waterproof so far as my dog likes the sea. Battery lasts well. Good features in the app. Has been very wet, rolled in mud and other nasty substances and functions well, so is robust. Used the light in the dark. All Good.

I had a different tracker to start with but found it to be slow and inaccurate. Changed to Tractive and what a difference. Picks up where your dog is very quick. Monitors activity and sleep however, I prefer to take his collar off at night so do not use it for night time sleep. It does require a subscription and my previous one did not, but the difference is well worth it.
