Way better than any office supply store/discount store piece of garbage...
I'm thrilled to still be able to find brand-new metal power strips today. Metal power strips still far surpass the cheap plastic surge protectors you can find at drugstores, office supply stores, or anywhere else at all. They are infinitely more durable, have better components, and are safer from a fire standpoint. Should a lightning strike or otherwise massive surge cause the insides to burn up, the metal case will safely withstand it.Next, I'm astounded by the cord length! I had no idea it would be 15 feet upon initial purchase. Thus, I "looped" the excess cord around the back and side of my desk to keep it out of the way. For those not aware, you shouldn't keep power strip (or any) cords bundled while in use, as this can lead to overheating and/or restrict power flow in the long run.Secondly, I'm very impressed by the receptacles (and 10 of them, at that? You have to be kidding!) They secure the plugs very nicely, and have good-quality brass contacts inside. I'm sure they will hold up for many years, unlike cheaper power strips where the cheap contacts get worn out and become loose over time. The large lighted switch makes for convenient control, and there is an LED to indicate surge protection status. While listed as a "workshop" power strip, this one actually has a base surge suppression rating of 400V at all levels - far better than many other surge protectors in this price point. As such, it is also a good choice for a computer setup, as I happen to be using it for. I have it at my desk for my laptop, printer, USB/phone chargers, and a lamp. If using on hardwood, though, I'd recommend putting some velcro or felt pads on the bottom to avoid scratching the floor. I have it on carpet, though, so this isn't an issue in my case.Would highly recommend and purchase again in a heartbeat!

Beefy, Heavy Metal Case. That’s A Good Thing.
There’re a few really good things about this multi-outlet surge protector: First, it’s a Belkin. Second, the cord is long and heavy, not flimsy. Third, 10 outlets (but, be careful. Likely as not, you don’t want to have ten of anything running at once on a circuit). Fourth and best of all, the case is metal, not plastic. The metal case makes this ideal for a special grounding application I have. Very good product for the price.

Amazing!
Has an amazing feel to it, the switch feels big and beefy. I never thought I would care about how a outlet box felt but this thing set the bar extremely high.

Well rounded surge protector
These surge protectors are classic and well rounded pieces of equipment. High quality materials, does it’s job, no frills. The outlets are spaced out enough to fit a few things easily. If you have bulky chargers, they will all still fit for the most part. The cord length is more than long enough, I haven’t needed anything longer yet. I’ve bought two of them for how versatile they are.The surge protector also has some mounting points on the back so you can easily mount them on the wall if needed.Value I think is pretty good! For the quality of materials, and versatility, you can’t find much better for the price. They are on the more expensive side for a surge protector, but I expect to use it 5-10 years from now. Let’s hope those materials hold up over time because they’re very nice.

One of the best power strips and protectors.
I had three others. One just went mostly out only two outlets were working. my older ones are about 27 years old. So far only lost one. Powered my entertainment center so used heavily every day. Also use another for my amps, pedals, recorder, and PA. Also used for my compuer set up and all the other stuff I have plugged in including my surveillance system. These are heavy duty industrial and I consider them the best. When we moved in to our house there was a problem with the main electrical underground cable running to the house. The insulation was cracked and during a rain storm we lost voltage but had amperage. Two other brand protectors shorted, arched loudly and caught fire about 1am. One was in the master bedroom and scared the hell out of me. Got them both unplugged, fires out and saved our house. DIDN'T even faze these. I'll continue to purchase these strips as long as the retain the high quality I've come to expect from them.

Super sturdy!
I got this for my WFH setup. It's plugged into a 30A appliance circuit and I mounted it to the wall behind my desk. The weight and heft of this item is impressive. It's like having 5 power outlets in a box.Four stars because each time I activate the motor to raise and lower the desk, my monitor blacks out for a split second. I am not sure if that is the surge protection working or what, but it seems like it's probably not good for the equipment.
