Installation is not an issue, once you successfully get your Nexus 6P open. Search in youtube for instructions. If you have open your phone to replace battery before, it would be much easier now for you to do it the second time, because you get used to the process.This "daughter board" itself is great! Plug it in, and it just works! Some comments out there in the internet says these after-market boards do not allow fast charging. Non-sense. The reason we bought this, is that the original usb port already deteriotes to the point that even normal charging won't always happen. So who the **** cares whether an aftermarket board supports fast-charging?! But, for the record, this board I bought charges my phone as fast as before! I had a usb meter to prove it! Satisfied!UPDATE at 2019-8-19: Have to knock down 2 stars because, only 4 months in, now all of a sudden, the same symptom comes back: 95% of time my phone won't be charged. I'll have to slightly bend the charging usb C socket to a certain angle for it to be barely charged. For the context, my previous i.e. the original charging board was in duty for 3+ years.I will probably buy another one to try my luck one more (and one last) time, but I'll probably go with a different supplier this time.

I'm not sure sure happened but my charging port on my nexus 6p was no longer holding the plug snugly. The USB-C connected would just fall out and i'd often find my phone wasn't charging. I got this replacement to install at the same time as a new battery. find a youtube video on cracking open the case. it's not bad but you're likely going to need a new camera cover. When it shatters make sure it doesn't get in your eyes! This board was super easy to replace and took about a minute once the case was open. I not have firm, positive engagement of the usb cable.

I purchased my Nexus 6P used, and I didn't notice until I got it home that the charging cable would fall out. I managed for over a year by propping the phone against the connector, but then I saw online that the charging port was on a small daughter board. I found a YouTube video of how to replace the charging board. It took me a while to get the phone open without damaging anything, but the board replacement itself was easy. To open the phone, I used a heat gun set to 150°F (65°C) to soften the glue, then I used a dull Xacto knife and plastic pick to open the phone. Delivery was fast from Phonsun. Totally happy with the part; now my phone "clicks" when I set it to charge.

Works perfectly! My original port on my Nexus 6p didn't fit chargers tightly, but it wasn't a big deal. I never lost charge overnight or anything. Despite that, I decided that I'll change it out while I'm doing the battery and I'm glad I did. Now it fits chargers so snugly! It's hard to remember what my phone was like when I bought it, but I think it's even better than when it was new. Also for those wondering, I can confirm that fast charging works on this new port. Getting the phone open was pretty tough though, so just be careful. Lastly, when setting this new port in and tightening the screw it felt like it didn't fit right. This is normal, and I just put it back in a few times until I felt comfortable putting the whole phone back together.

Prior to replacement of the USB port, my Nexus 6p would not charge unless the is cord was plugged in at just the right orientation. It would stop charging if it was bumped or moved. After I replaced the USB board it worked perfectly! Seems to charge just as fast as it did before.I recommend changing the battery at the same time since you're right there anyways. Just watch YouTube videos to figure out how to do it.

Installed this yesterday and it's working as expected. There was no difference I could see between this board and the one I took out. As you can see in the pic it does support rapid charging. The port holds my charging cable securely and charges at the rate it should. Not sure why other people had problems with this.If you're new to working on phones, do yourself a favor and replace the battery as well while you're in there because this phone is a bit of pain to get into and theres a definite risk of breaking the rear glass strip when pulling it up to get to the screws. There's a battery for sale here on Amazon that comes with a new glass strip included for a few dollars more. You'll be glad you have it you break the original.

I tried looking for the OEM part, but everywhere was sold out. After extensive digging I found this. Turns out it worked perfectly with the original charger and cable. The quick charge feature also worked well on the Anker USB C car charger (5V 3A). The only thing that would have made it better would if they had included the rubber piece from the OEM board.

My USB-C port had all but stopped charging my phone unless the cord was in a very specific position and some chargers had stopped working altogether. This was an easy replacement, for someone that has swapped batteries before, and works with all the chargers I have. Phone is now on its 4th life, 5 more to go!

so far I have only used it for charging the battery ... seller claims it supports fast charging ... the one I got did not support fast charging ... it took over 24 hours to charge my battery from 1% to 100% and I had to have the phone fully turned off ... if I had the phone on, the system estimated that it will take 2 days to fully charge the battery ... I gave it 2 stars because it actually works.
