Optical Center Punch

I haven't used it on steel yet so I can't speak to the quality of the punches it comes with, but this thing is awesome!Your center punching accuracy is definitely going to go to the next level.When I first got it I wanted to see how accurate it was. I put a dot with a pen on a piece of paper and lined it up. Then I turned the optical piece and the cross hairs stayed perfectly centered. Same with the circle and center dot optical piece.I have only used it for a few holes in aluminum but so far I am impressed and happy with it.

Appears to be well made and accurate. Did not test hardness of the punches' so time will tell how they stand up. Optical components seem to be properly centered.

The crosshairs on the optical center aren’t perfectly centered. You can rotate the optical centering tool in the base and watch how the crosshairs trace a slightly eccentric path over the target. It isn’t much, maybe a few thousandths, but with some practice you can get the same level of accuracy by eye with a normal punch.

Extremely well made and very accurate. Well packaged in a padded case that will keep the parts safe and available. You just need to clean off the protective oil from the punches, and maybe add some light oil to keep rust off. I use Bostik 10220 Aerosol Top-Cote Power Tool Lubricant.

Works as described, when viewing cross hairs to find a mark very easy and brighter than I expected! Includes two different punches and viewing cylinders. Excellent build quality and I would recommend it!

Optic inserts are both some what blurry, and scratched out of the box, but serve their purpose, and accurate after aligning with precision scribed materials.

Well packaged! 1 cross eye piece 1 round eye piece & 2 different angle punches. Only as accurate as your eye can line up with your mark. Accuracy about 0.1mm.
