Lot's of crocking to do :)
Item worked as it should, small amount of smoke when I first used it, not electrical more of a oily smell, as the directions indicate may happen, did not last more than maybe 10 mins. 15 Bean soup was my first try doubleing the ingredaints cooked 6hrs. on high turned out great. Auto feature to warm worked flawlessly. So far very happy, did notice the handle for the lid was cracked and ordered a new one on amazon no great shakes

I love the size and it’s really easy to use.
This is the perfect size for my needs. I love that it’s really simple to use and has a two hour warm feature. I use it every four or five days and the meat comes out tender every time. Everything cooks evenly and it’s easy to clean. It should last several years and it was a good price. I definitely recommend.

Automated features the best
I bought this as a gift. I was there when it arrived and when it was opened. I haven’t seen it in use but I love the feature when you can set the cook time and it will turn off after the end of the time. It is great in those days when you get held up at work or in traffic and don’t get home when planned.

Works well, just like a Crock Pot should
Admittedly I am a Crock Pot snob. Let me explain. I love the old, original Crock Pots. I have actually burned out two, my husband pulled one off the counter and broke it, and I now have 3 of them in my pantry. One of those was bought in an antique shop, in the original box and packaging never having been used. But when wanting to make a large batch or spaghetti, chili, or whole chicken one was just not large enough. Enter a different brand 6qt slow cooker. After only about two years the writing was worn off of the dial, the metal portion was stained beyond belief, and the dial itself was rickety. It was unreliable often over heating and boiling when it should not have been. So, when Prime Day came around and I discovered the 8qt Crock Pot brand slow cooker it was love and first sight. Generally, I am not fond of the newer removable ceramic cookers for several reasons. It is too easy to damage or break the ceramic removable pot, the cords are way too short, but primarily because there is no insulation whatsoever; just brushing up against the cooker can quickly burn. When bustling around the kitchen that can happen all too easily, but I understand that is the way they are made these days; grin and bear it I will. Even though it is touted to make clean up easier, I am not sure that is the case with any removable pot. When the new 8qt beauty arrived, despite the removable ceramic pot, it was quite large and very nice. After washing it and of course reading the booklet (sans cookbook which was noted in the description) I plugged it in and began experimenting. It was very simple to master and actually quite impressive. There are 3 heat choices and when programmed for cook time, it automatically switches to warm when that time has elapsed which I found reassuring; it can be programmed for up to 20 hours. It appeared to cook low on low and then high on high as it should. I have already used it 3 times. First it cooked an 8lb pork shoulder to perfection. Next 16 chicken thighs were used in a recipe my son calls, "Mississippi Mud Chicken," which he got from a local fireman. Lastly, just on a whim, I wondered how boiled peanuts would fare in the slow cooker. Half of the peanuts were boiled on the stove the traditional way and the other half were cooked in the Crock Pot on high for between 6-8 hours both pots at a slow boil. As it turns out, both were done at the same time and tasted exactly the same-texture, flavor and all. According to the description, this slow cooker can prepare enough food for up to 10 people, so no more multiple crock pots for get togethers. Despite no insulation, this programmable, stainless steel Crock Pot is going to be well used and well loved.Top 3 Likes:-Quality construction that is sturdy and solid enabling cooking to occur exactly as it should and as is programmed-When cooking time has elapsed it automatically converts to warm mode-Digital programming is easy to perform, distinct, well lit, with easily visible numbersTop 3 Dislikes:-The ceramic insert is quite heavy-Arthritic hands may need help-Bits of residue need to be scrubbed out of the ceramic insert after use

Super Strong
So this is a wonderful crockpot however this thing can really cook! I work an hour a way so stuff I set for 8 hours tends to be 9 hours. This is the kind of crockpot you can only use if you're at home with it. A low setting cooks food in 5 hours.

Great crockpot
I am pretty picky on crockpots. But this one is by far my favorite one so far I love it that after the time it was set for it automatically turns to warm instead of over cooking the meal!

Large enough to double recipes
Even though I usually cook for 2, I like making large batches that can be divided and frozen for future meals. This is also great for larger family gatherings and when preparing a meal for my 12-member book club. It can easily accommodate doubling most recipes. The only drawback is that the crock is heavy.

Creates a mess on the countertop
Less than thrilled. I've used this 4 times and it's leaking all over the counter in my kitchen. As I was peeling tomatoes to put into it, it leaked the juice out from the bottom of the device. So I had to put towels under it to use it. That's no okay. I bought it March 29th 2025 and today is June 20 2025. Quite disappointed. It spits liquid out from under the lid and some of that also gets on the counter. This is less than three months old and I've only used it 4 times. I noticed the counter wet the third time but shrugged it off to the 'spit' coming from the lid. It also has leaked into the heating element chamber and created quite a section of scorched debris. That was removed with some vigorous scrubbing. I haven't cooked anything extraordinary and to be fair, the food has all turned out exactly as expected. Nothing burned. I did not overfill it or abuse it in any way. It certainly creates a mess. Not something I read would happen before purchasing. Throwing it in the trash for another brand. I don't think it's worth pursuing the warranty coverage even. Quite disappointed.
