Rough Country 2" Suspension Lift Kit for 1997-2006 Jeep Wrangler TJ/LJ - 65830

I love the stance and the look at gave mine. 33 x 12 50 tires work great with no problem.My bump stops, lower spring perches in the rear, and upper shock mount bolts were all unusable. Didn’t realize it until I started the disassembling. It would’ve been a three hour job. If it hadn’t been for that. Rough country makes a good quality kit here for a reasonable price. All the pieces were there, it was here when they said it would be, and everything fit like it was supposed to.

Shipping was quick. The coil spring spacers are made of steel and they level out my TJ nicely. I didn't personally install it, so I can't speak as to the ease of the install. However, the mechanics who did the install didn't need anything extra to install it, so the kit is complete with all that you need. My shocks were old and worn out so the improvement in the ride was substantial both on and off road. I have 33" tires and the kit really helped stop the rubbing when offloading, but I do still rub the control arm when I crank the wheel. Overall I am very happy with the kit.The only negative that I have is. Once I purchased the order there was no communication from Rough Country as to the tracking status. I submitted a question through the "Contact Seller" icon. No response. Two business days went by and still no communication. I called Rough Country on the third day and the customer service rep was very helpful. He informed me that my kit would be arriving that day.

I just installed the kit so I can't speak to the longevity of the shocks but it went together fine. I had a problem with fit but I believe that was due to some bad review information. Someone said the kit fits just fine on newer jeeps but I would say "ya,no it don't" I have a 4 door 07 Sahara and the front coil spacers didn't fit over the pedestals, without some grinding and modification. That done, the rear spacers also had to be ground (the hole made bigger on one end in both instances) to allow for a proper fit on the jeep mounting platform. Front and rear shock mounting was also slightly different and required some modification to fit. All modifications were minor and as any jeep owner will tell you,a hand grinder is a jeeps best friend. My friend helped until he had to go and he was with me from 11:30 until 3:30 and I finished up by 5:30. So 10 hours later I am very happy with the lift, no ride issues and a moral to the story, if it says 98 to 06, it probably means 98 to 06.

My 2003 Jeep TJ Wrangler (158K miles) looks and rides amazing with this lift and shock kit. The product is great, however it took me 5 days to install due to issues that came along with my Jeep. I had to replace both front sway bar links because they were old and one broke when I lowered the axel. Jeep sway bar links are tapered and a pain to take off. I had make several trips to the store to buy & rent tools (pitman arm tool, dremel tool, pipe wrench, carbide drill bits, & replacement parts) to deal with that. I did the rear lift kit the following weekend and my upper bolt on the rear shock sheared off while attempting to take off the old shock. That required more Cajun engineering, you tube research, and more trips to the store. Its been three weeks since the install and I think the journey was well worth it.

A friend help me install this kit. It was just as the videos on YouTube describe. For never having done it, we still got it done in a few hours. After a few weeks of city driving it is pretty rough when it comes to imperfections in the road. The ride height is nice, but be ready to bounce around when it comes to cracks, bumps, and lumps in the road.

This kit fit my LJ perfectly. It was really easy to install by myself. It took maybe 4 hours total. Everything I needed was there and the Jeep looked awesome when I was done. The shocks are a bit stiffer than the Rancho 9000s I took off but after a year they are starting to break in. If you are looking for a good lift for a great price I would highly recommend this kit. All of the parts are metal, there is no noise coming from them, and it sets even. If I had a con for this it would be they didn't come with any boots for the shocks, I just used the ones that came off of my Ranchos and called it a day.

Easy install, good quality, just what I was looking for in a basic lift/leveling kit. Shipping was fast, everything was well packaged.
