Fast PCIe SSD With Small Form Factor At A Low Price
I bought this SSD for an ACEPC GK1 miniPC since the installed eMMC drive was only 32GB, barely enough for the OS yet alone any Windows updates or file storage. This was the only 2242 form factor PCIe drive that I could find, but it worked perfectly and I was able to clone my C: drive to the new RC100 and it booted fine.I am not reaching the speeds mentioned and the OCZ SSD Utility is showing a sub-optimal installation, but it is still blazing fast compared to the eMMC drive.

Works perfectly in the T580!
This NVMe drive works perfectly in my Lenovo Thinkpad T580. Windows 10 was able to recognize it on the first startup, and I was able to do a fresh install of Windows 10 pro 1809 from the USB installation media to this drive. The speed of the drive is just as fast as advertised (see screenshot). After installing Windows 10 on this drive, I reformatted the 500GB hard disk drive and use it as a data drive. This is probably the best way to get both speed and capacity out of my T580.Tip: Do not run two separate copies of Windows 10 on both drives. I made the mistake and ran into boot issues. Wipe your hard drive while you are in the installation menu of Windows, then install on the Toshiba drive.

Linux Perspective
I have this 240GB SSD installed on two i3-NUC Mini-PCs. I'm running Linux Mint 19 with Btrfs. Trim completes in about 25 seconds if run on the weekly scheduler, and if manually once daily about 20 seconds. Right now the Linux tool box does not support these drives, but their stellar tech support, assures me it's in the next version coming. In the meantime, if you have access to a Windows machine, you can create a bootable flash drive with the toolbox that will work. I have to use the toolbox's safe mode during boot to get it to load in these NUC, but not in and older desktop I have. Alternatively nvme-cli gives accurate Smart data as does smartmontools (newest version that is available at SourceForge - needs G++ dependency.) Nvme-cli in the software center is the easiest route, even though it's version 1.5 and not the new 1.6 it works just fine. With it just use sudo nvme smart-log /dev/nvme0 in the terminal. 120 GB endurance is pretty decent for the price point. No nvme I've ever tested boots any faster than a standard SATA SSD. They install applications faster and open them a tiny bit faster. For Linux, I very highly recommended this SSD. Having the bootable tool box to check for firmware (ethernet not wireless) and verify health is worth a lot, especially with the Linux Desktop version coming.

Works perfectly as a secondary drive
I installed this SSD in the WWAN slot of my T480, and almost everything worked perfectly. I did try to make it my main boot drive, but ran into some stability issues so I just use it as a secondary drive.

Good seller to purchase from.
The chip was DOA on arrival. The seller gave me instructions on how to handle it and I did. Toshiba sent a check, it did not cover the full price, better than nothing. I would rather have had a replacement memory card.I would buy from him again.

It's Toshiba.
With their innovations in BiCS storage, I see no reason to not pass this up. With 96 layer coming into production soon, these should suffice in the mean time. It's stupid fast with what I have to do in the multimedia field, price is affordable, and installation is easy.
