Sooo much work to clean
I carefully read all of the reviews but still bought this thinking it can’t be that bad to clean. I pictured rinsing out two parts daily. I also didn’t understand that the grinder gets soaked with water. It is far worse than I imagined. In the photo you will see that there are four pieces that need to be cleaned. And rinsing doesn’t do the job. The grinder pieces get the oily coffee grounds stuck in the corners and the shoot gets packed with grounds. I don’t have anything other than an old toothbrush to get in there. For now I just stick my finger in and try to get it all but I imagine that will eventually impact the taste. I know I’m not getting it all. Also, all four parts are dripping wet with coffee. So as I pull them out I am making a mess on the counter and if I carry it over to the sink it continues to drip. The coffee does taste good. But there are just too many pieces to clean especially if my husband wants to make a cup right after me. We are going to buy a fancier Italian brand that can do drop, pour over, or iced in small amounts.

Not so easy as the video displays
While I really like the great cup of coffee it’s not that easy to use and clean up is a pain. The standard paper filter does not fit easily, if you don’t make sure that the paper filter is folded over the side of the basket it will cause the water to back up and you will not get any coffee. Clean up is a pain. The canister that holds the beans gets stuck. What happens is that the spinner that spins the blade has too much give and allow the ground beans to fall down under the canister into the coffee maker. This causes the canister to get stuck. I have to remove the front filter compartment to try and push upward on to the beam canister from the other angle to pry it out. Hard to type a clear description other than it’s a pain. I didn’t read any of the reviews before I bought it, I had watched the video on how to use it thinking my 88 year old mother in law could use it. It’s not that easy. I gave it three stars mainly because the coffee does taste wonderful.

Love this coffeemaker. Hope it lasts.
I have had this same style coffeemaker for many years. Cuisinart does not make it anymore. I purchased this for a second home and had it for about a week. The lights start blinking and won’t stop until I unplug the unit. The coffee is great, but my other coffeemaker has never done this. Glad I have 90 days to see if it is going to last.

Love it
I have had no problems with this, and it makes me one large cup of very good coffee. I do wish their was a way to make the grinder stay on longer, but that is minor.I do have to clean out the 'chute' where the coffee goes into the basket from the grinder, perhaps every other time I use it. I can see where if you wanted to make several cups, it could be a pain - it works best when all the parts are dry. I simply lift the top when it flashes at me that the coffee is done, and pull the cover off of the grinder inside. So, for a couple of months, I have not had one problem. And it makes very good coffee.

Good cup of coffee
I like the stronger coffee flavor than using a pod. I like the grinder, but it must be cleaned daily to ensure that it doesn't clog up going into the filter.

Brewer requires effort.
This coffee maker does a good job. But it needs a complete cleaning after every cup. Just a time consuming effort, not a problem.

So far, so good!
Have had this in service now for 2 weeks, works great. Easy to load, easy to clean makes a great cup or two of coffee. One thing that could be improved, permanent coffee filter basket. It's designed for the paper cones , but with a little bit of adjusting, any cheap large paper filter works just as well. Also, like the FREE extended warranty on the refurb.

PIECE OF GARBAGE
Ordered 3x - each time the machine came broken. I should have just canceled my order after the 2nd one, but the 3rd one came in seemingly good condition so I kept it. This machine was used very lightly, maybe 1x per week and it's crapped out after a year. From month 1, the lid would disengage while the coffee machine was brewing, stopping the process. I put a heavy cup with a tub of peanut butter on top to weight it down. Now, after less than 50 uses, the grinder is too weak to grind the beans. Throwing this piece-of-crap coffee maker in the garbage today.
