The Unidata WPU-7800 is a wireless WiFi SIP phone compatible with most SIP platforms based including Asterisk , Trixbox , Elastix as well as Nortel, Avaya, Splicecom, and Broadsoft. The WPU-7800 offers the same market leader in SIP / WiFI capabilities as the WPU-770 it replaces, but has a larger display and a more modern design. The WPU7800 features WMMTM for QoS and an improved power saving mode for battery life. A variety of security features are available on the WPU-7800, including WEP (64/128-bit), WPA-PSK, 802.1x (EAP-MD5, EAP-TTLS, PEAP, EAP-TLS) and 802.11x (WPA/WPA2 Personal and Enterprise). The Unidata WPU7800 WiFi telephone also allows pre-configuration of profiles up to 5 networks. The handset can detect nearby wireless networks using a built-in wireless LAN Site Survey. The WPU7800 offers simple WLAN profile configuration for instant network connection, static DHCP / IP, DiffServ (ToS) labeling, NAT Traversal via UPnP or STUN, automatic roaming between access points and Layer 3 SIP transfer. Wireless roaming is one of the main selling arguments of the SQ-3000 as it means calls are not removed when roaming between access points, which is a feature most competing products can not support.
