Q: Can anyone tell me what this smells like? It is very difficult for me to use a product like Brasso because it affects my lungs. Is this more natural

It has a mild ammonia smell like most brass cleaners but I don't find it to be as bad as Brasso. It does contain ammonia, I don't see other ingredients on label. I always crack my windows and turn on ceiling fan when I polish my brass bed and don't find it offensive but I don't have breathing issues. It cleans so fast and easy. A milder less odorous product "the Hope company" brass cleaner. I originally liked it but it is too hard to work with for large pieces like a bed. So if you have a smaller piece like candlesticks etc, I would suggest you use that. It has no odor.

Q: Is there a difference between the brass cream and brass polish? I need the brass cream but I don't need a 4lb tub of it.

The polish has always worked well for me - can no longer get it in the local stores - glad to find it on Amazon. It's fairly thick - a dab on a cloth is all I need per fixture.

Q: Would this work on a tarnished brass ring?

All I can tell you is that I used it on tarnished brass outlet coverplates and believe me when I tell you they came out looking brand new and shiny. I love this stuff! What a difference between the "before" and "after". And I didn't find the smell bad like some people are saying.

Q: Does it remove green and black color changes?

The brass i polished had black on it but not green and it removed the black. If there is green thats patina...patina is a good thing and i wouldnt want to remove it.
