Worked fine or 4 months - then kaplooee
It worked fine from installation, then after 4 months, the main electrical board fried itself. Repairman says this is typical of LG's. Oh boy! 2 weeks without a refrigerator. It is being repaired under warranty, but I ask myself, why is this common with LG's, and why haven't they engineered an improvement?

Piece of Junk. Do not buy.
This refrigerator would be acceptable if it weren't for the awful doors. The left door always slams unless you slowly guide it shut. Worst of all, the middle door hinge almost never flips shut, leaving the refrigerator unsealed. This inevitably causes the temp to rise and leads to your food constantly being covered in condensation.

AWESOME FRIDGE
This is an awesome fridge. There is so much room inside. The best way I can describe it is that it's like a cavern. Things are easily seen. It is bright with beautiful lighting. The freezer drawers are easy to organize and things are quick to find. The black stainless is beautiful. This is a consumer's dream. Is there anything not to like about this fridge? Nothing except maybe the price. If you shop around though, you can obtain it on sale for a very reasonable cost.

NEVER BUY LG APPLIANCES!!!!!!!!
I ordered and paid for this model of fridge (through a local retailer, not Amazon) in October 2020. Not delivered until May 13, 2021.Upon installation, the water dispenser never worked. An hour after the installation a "communication error" code showed on the display. LG rep told me the entire unit would have to be replaced because that code is irreparable. That was May 21, 2021. I submitted my receipt immediately as requested. LG's customer service is a NIGHTMARE to deal with. It is now August 17 and I still have no resolution. I have called customer support countless times, they claim to escalate my case each time and that a representative from the defective return department will call me within 48 hours. I had an email today asking me to upload a copy of receipt...fourth time I've had to provide a copy.Starting August 5 the ice maker has been making this excessively loud percussive sound. It is not always constant, but multiple times everyday and every night. You can hear it throughout our entire home, even with doors closed. We thought turning the ice maker off would stop it...it did not. It actually kept making ice. We are sleep deprived and our poor cats are nervous & hide every time it starts.Now the in-door dispenser has started leaking water. It leaks all over the entire front of our appliance so there is no way to put a container underneath to catch the water. I will be including flooring repair in my legal claim against LG.After more than three months of constant calling customer support over their defective appliance LG remains incapable of providing any solution.Not only are their appliances absolute garbage, their customer service is non-existent. We also have major issues with the microwave (can't use the light feature as the appliance becomes dangerously hot with the light on), dishwasher (rancid smell even with cleaning appliance), and range (oven burns everything to a crisp within minutes even at low temperatures and the cook top has extremely inconsistent temperatures).DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!!!!!

don't buy
worked for 4 1/2 years then quit cooling out of the blue. lg "support" has been negligent and unhelpful. i'm having to wait longer for employee mistakes over and over. been without a fridge for 4 weeks now with no resolution still. this last time, lg employee coded something wrong so i have to wait another 3-4 business days, which translates to a week. even bought an extended warrantee and they could not get ahold of anyone to come fix it. when a repairman finally showed on 6/2 he told me no one wants to fix them because of the hassle, and people at asurion and lg both said they can't get anyone to work on them. lawsuit against them needs to include more models.

Save your money
Owned this model for three years and have had issues from the start.Ice maker has to be repositioned Every time for ice to be dispensed. Spending thousands to have to do this?!?After three years, bottom of freezer began to leak and ice build up. Well Motherboard & drain tray is broken. both parts are on back order for 12-16 weeks!And now the refrigerator isn’t staying cold! So now I have to make another call to the repair company, APPLIANCE CARE & REPAIR LLC to add that to the repair order.Save your money and energy, buy something else

Nice looking, poor quality refrigerator, worst Customer service
First time ever that a Refrigerator fails like this! Went on vacation and came back to a horrible smell, hundreds of dollars wasted in frozen food. Vapors caused corrosion of freezer rails and drawer was hard to open. Reported problem to LG and had the Compressor replaced, but not the rails... after sending several letters to LG's President, had a Liaison communicating that will take care of the problem. LG Tech shows up and says I have to pay for the repair. Thanksgiving coming up, had to buy a small Fridge for diary, but not enough to prepare a large dinner. Ended up paying for the repair and regret buying this "Nice Looking piece of crap ..." Will go back to US reliable brands!

Don’t buy!
LG is the worst manufacturer ever. Bought a five year extended warranty, it broke down January 2021, (4 years into warranty) they still haven’t fixed. It doesn’t cool produce ice or water now. It was a $4000 purchase. I had my kitchen cabinets designed around this. Now counting the thousands of dollars of food lose and having to eat out, hoping someday they’ll exchange refrigerators or fix!
