I love having an iodine product as an ointment. It is great for cuts and abrasions. I even use it on the small red patchy areas my dog gets from laying on grass as she has allergies and this stuff helps her alleviate the discomfort, just be sure to not get it on any clothing or carpeting as it does stain. Great stuff!

This ointment is water-based and doesn't contain any petroleum or oil, making it a great sterile ointment for wound dressing where your doctor tells you to use a wet-to-dry dressing.Iodine is great for any kind of wound care because it does a better job of killing microbes than antibiotic ointment, but it can temporarily discolor your skin a bit, and it's sometimes difficult to tell the difference between iodine and dried blood on your bandage.The viscosity of this ointment is just right so as to apply evenly but won't drip. I recommend applying some of this to the end of a cotton swab and then dabbing the swab over your wound before covering it with gauze.

This is a miracle healer. Some reviews say it is dangerous, well maybe if you apply it all over your body but then what wouldn't be. Helps speed the healing process on "small" cuts etc. Excellent product, have bought before and will buy again.

We all get cuts and scrapes, I seem to get more than my share. It is hard to find an antibiotic cream that is not triple something. My problem is I have developed an allergic reaction to Bacitracin in all triple antibiotic ointment. I do have a prescription for an ointment when I do serious damage to myself, but for simple cuts and scratches this works wonderfully

I'm so glad I found this! My daughter is allergic to standard triple antibiotic ointments so I've been looking for an alternative to use on cuts. The only other thing I've found is silver ointment but it's great to have options. I could not find this anywhere else and it's a great bargain. It's thick and stays in place well.
