Wow. I had no idea what to expect and some of the reviews had me a bit uncertain, but WOW--this stuff is amazing. I tend to use grass-fed butter or ghee (Ancient Organics) but always like to have a dairy alternative on hand to use for cooking and baking, or when one of us in the family has a bug and we avoid dairy, so I took the two jar plunge. And it was worth it! This magical goodness tastes like ghee but almost better, because it has that yummy, subtle coconut oil undertone. (Not overpowering at all.) What a dream! It's delicious. My daughter had a nasty upper respiratory infection last week and I substituted it for everything I'd normally use butter or ghee for--scrambled eggs, toast, sautéing, baking, frying, you name it--and everyone loved it. This is the REAL "I Can't Believe It's Not Butter" for health-conscious folks. (And tastes 10x better.) And organic--and shelf stable? Like winning the lottery to stumble on this yummy, good-for-you creation. (And haven't seen it in stores.) Although still solid, it had settled and the more buttery colored part had separated a bit when it arrived, as if the jars had been stored sideways, which was a bit of a puzzle...but I left it on top of the toaster oven (accidentally lol) and it softened and melted somewhat, so I carefully stirred it and now it's back to a balanced consistency. LOVE it and will use it often. Thank you, Nutiva! Please keep making this delicious product. Big fans, here.

I’m not going to say it’s a “butter equivalent” but if you have people in your life that can’t have dairy, this is a life saver! We can’t find this anywhere locally anymore so having Amazon carry it is a god send. There’s no real coconut taste, it melts quickly, there’s no odor, the texture is just like you’d expect and we use it for everything. The price isn’t even that bad!

It has become impossible to find this product locally. I am thrilled to find it on Amazon. I like the flavor and the fact that it is Coconut oil.

I love the Nutiva Organic Coconut Oil with Non-Dairy Butter Flavor, 14 Ounce (Pack of 2) to use on our popcorn. It's good for many other other uses too! It gives things a nice buttery flavor!I always order plenty to have on hand as we totally HAVE TO HAVE IT on our popcorn! We use it during the popping process, with a bit of the Nutiva Red Palm Oil and a small bit of Flavocol, in our Whirly Pop Popcorn Maker!One thing though, DO NOT order these jars in the heat of Summer, or during any hot weather because these WILL LEAK during shipping!UPDATE 12/08/2021:My recent order of 4 of this product arrived with small to large cracks in the glass jars. The product inside was solid so it did not leak out.All 4 jars were packaged individually, and very poorly, with each jar in a thin, clear bubble wrap bag, but then all 4 jars were just rolling around loose inside big shipping box with lots of heavy items in it. I'd hate to have seen what a mess this would have been if I'd ordered these in warmer weather. I was very bummed about the breakage, but Amazon is taking care of it.Just, be sure to check all your jars for any cracks in them!

When I went dairy free, the one thing I could not give up was butter, because nothing tasted as good on vegetables and popcorn as butter. This is outstanding on popcorn and pretty good on vegetables too. Since it’s made with coconut oil, it’s a healthier alternative to butter, spreads, or margarine. It melts well in the microwave or on hot food, but does not mix well with water-based foods like mashed potatoes. It tends to float on top. Kind of expensive, but I’m completely dairy free now because of it. I think it smells like the butter used on movie theater popcorn and the smell has a lot to do with the taste. The smell is a little strong for veggies, bread, or seafood, but it tastes good. One star off for the price and the strong smell.

I can't say enough about this product! It is a very healthy alternative to butter or margerine - organic and made from coconut oil. It has a slightly coconut flavor, which is OK. Some things that are important to know are: (1) Do not refrigerate it, or it will become hard as a rock. (2) It adds a nice flavor when frying something like eggs, but will quickly start smoking if the heat is too high. (3) The consistency varies with the weather. During the winter it remains soft at room temperature and can be easily spread with a knife. However, during the summer it turns liquid and needs to be spread with a tablespoon.

This is a good coconut oil for popping your popcorn in. I have a dash popcorn popper and this works great to pop your popcorn in, it tastes like the movie theater popcorn and if you add a little flavacol you can make yourself movie theater popcorn.

I use this in our popcorn machine to pop and let me tell you it gives the popcorn such a great buttery taste that there is not need to add any extra at the end. Love this! I will definitely be purchasing this again!
