Briggs and Stratton 311353GS Panel - Control

Great item. Easy to install. Only problem that was noted by others were the mounting holes. May be off by an 1/8 of an inch but just need to redrill.

The panel worked perfect. It was an exact match of the replaced panel.

I had a customer whose battery charger internal had failed. After running around with Briggs on the phone I went ahead and sourced it somewhere else. This controller is a direct replacement to the old one. The mounting holes aren’t perfectly centered, however, if you start all 4 by hand and slowly run them in with a screw driver, they will all straighten out. Make sure jumpers are set correct and that’s it no lug it in and start the unit. You can not add the old hours to the controller. They start back at zero.

Screw holes don’t exactly line up on panel but easily fixed with drill bit. Otherwise it works perfectly on my generator & can’t tell if it’s original or not.

Board repaired a no start issue with generator. Very pleased with purchase.

I installed the new card and the generator is working well. The old card was definitely defective.

Replaced original control board following the instructions sent with new board. Then the starter would engage for 1 second usually not long enough to start the engine. If the engine did start everything worked correctly. It would take 10 times before it would start not great for auto start stand by. Called the Briggs customer service line and was told I would have to have a service tech come out at my cost before they could do anything. The original cranked till engine started every time was just not reading the hz correctly. Cheaper to buy a second new one and hope that it works correctly than to have a tech out. Could not talk to tech on the phone? Pay them and you can get customer service......

My B&S generator was not starting when power out and had several diagnostic tests (which were expensive) which did not find the cause of the issue. Finally, a field rep for B&S spoke with the company we use for maintenance and suggested replacing this panel and provided a link to Amazon for the part. Long story short the part was installed and generator back to working as it should.
