CD-225 Solid Oak Apothecary Style Multimedia Storage Cabinet, Oak

I bought two of these to hold my collection of DVDs in paper sleeves. They replaced my end tables and look great in my living room. Love the solid oak wood. They have some weight to them. The drawers are better constructed than those in similar cabinets. To give an idea of how many DVDs in sleeves it will hold, I have a total of 18 drawers and 1500 sleeves. Two drawers are empty, the other 16 are only half to 2/3 full. Plenty of room to add more.

I am extremely happy with this cabinet. It is sturdy and very attractive, but the wood is somewhat lighter than in the picture. The picture makes it look more antique, but it is definitely a new piece. The only thing I would like for it to have that it does not is some kind of "stop" in each drawer to keep the CDs upright so they don't fall over every time I open or close a drawer. I am trying to figure out something that will do this for me. I would definitely purchase this cabinet again.

it didn't look like the picture(it was wrong finish). the one pictured was looking like an old piece of furniture, not a new oak cabinet.

I bought both pieces (225 & 150) which both arrived today in great shape. My first observation was that the color of the finish was much closer to what I hoped it would be (think honey oak). The Amazon pictures do make it look darker and more antiqued than what I got. So, I'm happy about that.I'm also happy about the quality of construction. Yes, it's made in China, but it is solid wood, as advertised. The drawer bottoms are made from thin plywood, as is the back. None of that pressed fiber board crap to be found here.All in all, this is good value for the price.

made very well and attractive

This is a very attractive piece of furniture that came almost fully assembled. All we had to do was put on the legs. Unfortunately, the nuts and washers were put loose into the packing box, not into a parts bag. It was quite a little adventure looking for and finding them all, which we did. Perhaps that was considered extra entertainment? In any case, it was easy to assemble and looks great. The drawers all fit well, the finish is lovely, and we have lots of room for our CDs.

Very well made cabinet. I would recommend it to any one looking for cd storage.

I just unboxed my cabinet today. I was very disappointed to find that the lower right drawer has a very obvious marking at the bottom of the drawer. It is approx. one fourth inch wide,a pale color and goes all the way across the bottom. Would it be possible to receive a replacement drawer?Someone did not inspect the cabinet before it was shipped from the factory.I have admired the cabinet for several years and look forward to using it.Thank you for exchanging cabinets when the wrong one was shipped to me originally.
