Wacky Races: The Official Guide. Hardcover – October 1, 2010

The book is concise, but thorough; it includes information on the characters, including the voice artists that bring them to life. The writing is very tongue-in-cheek, but still useable. Coming from a popular cartoon series, it is naturally well illustrated. There are extras within the book. The book has simulated wear marks and will, on first glance, appear used and worn, I was initially, a little taken aback, since I was promised a very good copy. After paging through, I realized that I indeed had a very crisp copy. I note with a bit of humor, that sellers list their copies as having possible shelf wear. The book is hard cover, mine included a matching dust jacket; both illustrated with matching wear and tear.The book is an excellent companion to either (or both), the video series, or the family boardgame by CMON, both available through Amazon.

Fantastic! Loads of fun

I thought this would just be a thin paperback going over the characters a bit. Boy was I wrong! This is hardback guide to one of my favorite cartoons showcasing the characters, their vehicles, the races, racing stats, and the show as a whole plus the spin-off shows! A treasure for any Wacky Races fan or Hanna-Barbera fan for that matter.

Add fun to watching the cartoons or playing the board game

Wacky races were my favorite. This book gives recaps to all the races as well as info on all the characters. Great book and you can't beat the price.

I was surprised that a book about an American cartoon Show was published in Britain. The book delivered in details about the show and the characters.

Bought for my 7-y-o son, who is suddenly obsessed with Wacky Races. After him having avidly reading it for some weeks, I noticed that it says it's an adult book and not suitable for children. Oops! However, I've looked at it quite closely, and apart from some shockingly sexist guff about Penelope Pitstop (and that's kind of the point of Penelope Pitstop), I have failed to find anything debauched or debauching. I'm still looking though... in the meantime, it's an entertaining book, with "blueprints" of the vehicles, the results of every race, info on all the drivers, etc. It's made to look like really old book and it's a good read and well worth it for a fan, especially as there are very few books about on Wacky Races.

If you're into wacky races and want to revisit your your youth then this is the ideal book, I'd also recommend buying the entire series on dvd

Anything to do with Wacky Races is excellent, and this is a must for any fan. Would make good present for child or adult.
