I'm a 40-year-old single father with three kids. This is the second pair of these headphones I have purchased for my teenage son. He uses it for gaming almost daily at his computer and on his portable Nintendo. After two years of regular use, the sound started to go out on the first pair. After two years of rough treatment and regular use by a teenager, I felt this was a reasonable failure.Recommendation: I would recommend these for kids and teenagers who enjoy gaming on their computers or portable devices. The headphones are cute and functional in the short term, but there are some issues. The headphones consistently hurt my ears after about an hour of use. Stuffing cotton in the ear area has helped, but they're still uncomfortable to wear and painful after a few hours. After about six months of use, the microphone began cutting out, and after ten months, the microphone is basically unusable. After eleven months, there is a loud static in the right ear that won't go away. They were okay for a while, but I would strongly suggest investing in better headphones for your own sanity.

Just purchased at the end of January and the microphone has stopped working..not very comfortable for wearing for long periods of time..

I got this to replace a headset for my nephew. The first one used a USB-c to connect the mic to the Nintendo Switch and often created an issue for my 8-year-old nephew to use. This headset uses a standard 3.5mm jack for the mic and headphones and is much easier for him. Further, on the other end of the conversation, I don't hear my voice echo as I did with the first model. This lacks noise cancellation like more expensive headsets, but that wasn't a priority for a child's gaming headset.
