I took a chance..
Ok....so so far it seems like a great deal....came packaged very nice and fit and finish looks good....I have not installed rocker assembly yet so can't confirm cam bolts being to tall like some have said....also the cam going flat seems to be an issue on these cheaper heads but again I can't confirm that yet....normally I never do a cam break in with an over head cam but I will on this unit to just give it the best possible advantage of not burning a lobe....I will update this post after I got some miles on the motor....7-8-21 update....a little work was required to get the head to work but nothing major....ie....rocker bolts did need changed....I did the break in for 15 minutes and everything seemed just fine. I would buy again even if the cam did loose a lobe....still cheaper to buy the head and a good cam vs a shop to build one IMO....im not saying the cam is bad but I won't know for a while....I will update again after putting a few thousand miles on it....2-21-24 update....so I've only got about 1200 miles on it (I own lots of cars and drive a work truck Monday to Friday, so I don't drive this Toyota much) and I have pulled the valve cover at 100, 400, 800 and 1000 miles and the cam looks just fine....unless noise starts or it runs strange, I'm going to check it again at 2500 miles....stay tuned

Dropped a Valve after 50 Miles...Ruined the engine
Ruined the Engine....Intake Valve broke at the lower clip retainer groove on the upper stem. Vehicle ran perfect for about 50 miles then started running erratically at idle and when we started an inspection we eventually found that the engine was misfiring on #2. We pulled the spark plug and swapped it with #3. Upon firing the engine back up, there was an immediate odd cavitation noise so we shut it right down and the engine locked up at that very moment. Pulled the valve cover and noted the missing valve. It bent the valve like a pretzel and dinged up the cylinder on one side mid way up. Good thing it wasn't traveling the highway at 3500 RPM. We cleaned it up a bit and purchased a professionally built Brand New Head "But not one of these" My Cylinder Head shop normally uses these castings then install all new "Toyota" Valves and hardware, as he states that the Chinese valve train parts are junk. He also told me that his most recent Chinese Castings have some Valve Guide issues that cause excessive overheating of the valve stems and guides, so he's been rejecting them while searching for earlier castings that calibrate out correctly. This was one bad apple in the barrel, but it's certainly not worth it for us to chance a repeat. We ended up installing the new head from that shop, but once fired up it has a loud tinging noise coming from the cylinder that suffered the dropped valve. No doubt a cracked/broken piston. Ruined a good engine. Just don't do it, it's not worth the gamble.

Works fine on 22-RET (Turbocharged)
The description says this won't fit on a 22-RTE but it does. They are the same exact head except the combustion chamber is smaller on a non-turbo 22-RE. This head only raises the compression by about a point. Not enough to ping. Unless you are racing it and running 20lbs+ boost it works just fine. I have a Garrett T-3 at about 10 lbs. If you don't want to have to buy new rockers then keep the camshaft from your bad head. I have an LCE turbo cam with about .440 lift I swaped over from my cracked head and it works fine with the springs in this head. Also if you have the extra coin buy an ARP head stud kit one time instead of single use head bolts. I have a couple hundred miles on it and it runs like a Swiss watch.

Good base head for a rebuild
Ive bought a few of these heads, couple of things, replace the cam its junk. For 100 bucks you can get a performance cam thru delta cam.2nd, valve stem seals kinda suck, i use viton seals.3rd. Its a 250 dollar head not a oem head. You get what you pay for.4th, the bowls on exh and intake need alot of clean up. Huge lips from where the cut the valves. Do some port work and it will flow better than ur stock head.

Over 15k miles on this head and no problem.
I have gone over 15k miles so farRe-Use your original Toyota CamshaftI am not saying the cam is bad. I have bought several chinese heads and the only problem I have with them is the cam lobes wearing off from the cam material being too soft.On this head I used my original cam. This is worth mentioning, because some 22R/22RE replacement heads use proprietary cams with a different size bearing/journal. This one will accept your OEM Camshaft.If you need to use camshaft that came with this head, use lucas 30W break-in motor oil so the new camshaft mates properly with the rockers. Also re-check your valve adjustment after about 5k miles.

Mophorn cylinder heads are a lemon product!!
The media could not be loaded. I have a 2004 Ford F250 6.0L powerstroke diesel. Its been bullet proofed: Arp head studs, air cooled oil cooler system from bulletproof diesel, bulletproof EGR h-core, bulletproof FICM and brand new upgrade water pump. Sounds rock solid, huh? Well let me tell you, these cylinder heads a absolute JUNK!! Don’t buy this crap! I made the mistake in spending a ton of money on everything else and skimping on the heads thinking all heads are made the same. Wrong! These heads are not machined to ford oem specs meaning you cannot replace any parts on the heads with a Ford part. Heck, the injectors don’t even fit in the ports properly. I’ve gone through 5 injectors and and in some cases the same injector twice.To make matters worse. The seller will NOT refund me because its out of warranty. I bought the heads January 17, 2021 and its been in the shop since. Ive managed to drive my badass truck 60 miles total since January and today (June 18, 2021) it’s STILL IN THE SHOP!! The seller won’t even send me the injector cups so I can at least close up the engine. Honestly, I’d rather they refund me the money so I can put it towards good quality heads. Lessons learned owning a 6.0L, do not skimp on anything!Fair warning: STAY AWAY FROM THIS CYLINDER HEAD! It is junk and the seller will not help you at all!!!Do not buy this head!If I could give this product negative stars I would rate them -5 stars.
