Great for a Hotrod Build
Could not find locally a short body shock for my modified 1940 Mercury. The old shocks had only 1.5" travel and were bottoming out. These short body shocks gave me 3" travel and a better ride.

Horriable customer service
DO NOT BUY FROM SPEEDWAY . THEY do not take care of there customers. I received the shocks covered in oil. One shock has leaked all its oil out and saturated the box . You compress the shock with no effort at all and no rebound . So ok bad part so I jump through Amazon's lovely return policy system and they tell me to contact speedway. I give them a call well.... that was a waist . They tell me there is nothing they can do for me and I need to deal with Amazon. So this goes on for three days trying to get both parties to do something to fix this issue . All I get from both parties is we have emailed them . What a cluster f . So today I call speed way AGAIN and talk to a supervisor that gets me no where . Pretty much got told sorry noting I can do for you . So they won't accept a return , credit funds back or send new parts . So in conclusion I guess it's ok to rip people off now . These people act like this is a everyday thing . There famous line of "well we sent an email so .... " great so have I and made several phone calls . DO NOT BUY FROM SPEEDWAY MOTORS !

Looks like they’re well-made even though they did not work for my application . Decided to go to coil overs but if you just need shocks for your street rod I would recommend these

Work well, good improvement to handling.
Bought to replace a blown shock on a bagged '53 Ford truck. Really improved the handling over the original Airbagit shocks (before they were blown). Hopefully these will hold up longer, will update if I have any issues.
