Garland Rug Sparta Area Rug, 9' x 12', Tan

First and foremost, this rug is a great value. It's not really a traditional seafoam. It is more of a slate blue with a hint of green/teal. The pattern is certainly NOT glued on. The entire rug is the same color. The "solid" portion is looped and low pile. The pattern is the exact same color and material, but it's tufted rather than looped, and it's a slightly thicker pile. Various lighting makes the pattern appear more or less pronounced. I also think the reason people say you see it more after you vacuum is because it fluffs up the tufted pattern. The rug is pretty thin, but with a rug pad it's fine. It does have that waffle backing on the rug, but it's hard/scratchy and not rubbery like a rug pad. It laid flat almost immediately. If this rug cost $500 I might not have given it 4 stars, but for what you're paying for it, this rug is great. I took a bunch of pictures because I wished there were user pics when I bought this. I hope they help you decide for yourself.

Probably one of the worst rugs ever. Cannot begin to describe what a pain this is. I purchased this rug for two rooms soley based on the good reviews. I'm just shocked at what people are saying. For starters everything and their mother sticks on to this rug, and it needs to be vaccumed nearly every 5 6 hours I posted a photo from the night till morning span of what happens to this rug. The back of this rug has some nasty white stuff that seems like glue and everytime the rug moves out of place I have white stuff all over the floors. When I was first opening the package everything white from the back came out. One of the rug came with the side destroyed. It's a mess. Buyer beware. I don't know if these reviews are paid for but mine is real. And I NEVER usually write bad reviews. It's one in one thousand that I ever would.

So... I am an avid Amazon customer, and I usually know the quality of what I am going to get. Sometimes I choose to purchase lower quality because that's the type of product I need for the situation. If I need top quality, I know how to find it and I pay an appropriately higher priced item. In this case, I knew I wasn't buying a top quality rug. I was okay with that. I read the reviews and even the less positive reviews described what I needed-- a thinner, synthetic monochromatic rug. I think I had reasonable expectations. What I received was actually SHOCKING. The rug I received in the 12 x 12 size is SO BAD! I think I may have received one that someone returned? Half of the rug looks tattered and has holes where there were previous snags. The raised part that creates a patters is in worse shape on that half. Then the other half looks a bit better. If the whole thing looked like the better half, it would be much better. The way it is shipped is HORRIBLE. It is folded up and crammed into a box. Not rolled. Not protected by plastic. Nothing. Folded up like an old blanket and shoved in a box. Again, I'd be fine with the packaging except for the fact that it has left stretched out parts of the rug that will not settle down flat on the floor. It's terrible. Even though the price I paid (around $180) for a 12 x 12 is very inexpensive for the size, I'm just not sure the rug is worth much of anything. It would better be described as an outdoor carpet or something suitable for a warehouse or industrial setting. Yuck. So disappointed with the 12 x 12.What's strange is that we also ordered a 5 x 7 in the same color, and it is totally fine. It looks much better. The backing on it is much sturdier, and therefore it lays flat and looks like a carpet should, even though it's thinner.

Oh. how I love this rug! Let me count the ways:- I would not have been able to fit this giant rug in my car, or maneuver it around a store, so I loved having it delivered to my door.- The packaging was great -- sturdy but easy to unwrap.- After reading the other reviews, I thought the color might be dark, but it's exactly the neutral light beige color I wanted. I am uploading a photo.- It's much higher quality than I expected. I bought it to replace a rug from Costco. This rug is noticeably more attractive and was a better value.- The pattern is unobtrusive but very pleasant.- It seems sturdy but soft.- It doesn't stink like new carpet. I get migraines and was worried about the outgassing, but it didn't bother me at all.I really like it!

It's definitely a cheap rug, that's for sure. Within days of arrival, the material started pilling. I've had it now for several months and it's become a barely tolerable fuzzy film that covers my dining room floor. Its primary purpose was to dampen the sound of people and animals clacking around on top of the wooden floors. We keep it because it still does that...I just have to distract guests from looking down at it.It belongs in a Jim Henson muppet movie. You remember those two grumpy theatre critics? This rug is the perfect sample for what their hairy backs would look like. And vacuuming it just makes it worse. You can't win with this rug.

I swore I would NEVER start a review like this but here goes with this line “If I could give zero stars I would doesn’t even deserve one star”. Upon receiving this carpet smelled super weird so I sprayed it with air freshener thinking “oh well the price was amazing” well once I laid it out I noticed there was a part of the rug that was fraying. No biggie though cause price so I just put that part under the bed. Well after like 10 minutes it was COVERED in little specks of stuff which I have carpets all over my house that don’t have this issue since I sweep vacuum and mop DAILY. Anyway I was like I’ll just vacuum it. the fabric that this is makes it to where hair and dirt just sticks to it like the rug is sticky and EVERYTHING sticks to it. The only thing I would order this for is like a garage carpet or an outdoor patio but it looks cheap and gross inside. Worst amazon purchase I’ve ever made. Like this review if you find it helpful.

This rug is awesome! Like other reviewers, I agree with saying that the rug is thin, but where else can you buy a rug for $60 at decent quality? The rug is a perfect fit for our living room area and I'm loving it so much that I may buy a second for other rooms in our home.
