Great for the Money
Got this radio because I was not having any luck making contacts with my hand held Ham radio. I took it out of the box plugged it into the cigarette lighter in my truck and connected the Nagoya UT-72 Super Loading Dual Band Magnetic mount antenna and made a call... got an immediate response. That's without any programming or anything... straight out of the box. TX and RX were 5x5. Very pleased so far. Amazed at the size. Good choice for entry level, if you are like me, just trying to learn before spending a lot of money on fancy radio equipment. Would recommend. Would make a great field radio as well.

Outstanding performance and cost compared to popular UHF/VHF radios!
Bought with the intention of using in conjunction with a aviation intercom for driver to co driver communication and UTV to UTV communication. Messaged Radioddity on Facebook and received a plethora of information on how to wire my intercom up to work with there radio, and how to select the correct microphone/headsets so everything works. Radio was flashed as a Rugged Radio clone using CHIRP and works just as good if not better than a $1200 intercom/UHF system from Rugged or PCI.

Great little radio
Great little radio for the money. Love the quad watch feature. Works with chirp, although not all of the features are unlocked.

Decent little radio for the price.
Radio receives and transmits like it supposed to. The only problems I have with it. It is not compatible with Windows 11 for programing, have to do it manually, not that hard just takes time. And after a year and a half the screen is starting to mess up. If it wasn't for the screen going out, I have been pleased with it.

Awesome radio for off roading.
Great radio! Bought this radio to install in my Jeep for when we are off roading or doing our benefit runs. I expected it to work but I did not expect it to work as well as it does. It has a great range in it and really clear reception. Would highly recommend it for anyone looking for a great radio that is still compact in size.

Junk - get a real one
Manual is poor at best.My radio powers on. Uncertain how to easily use mic to program.Tried to program from pc. Needs an oddball driver. Radio will not connect to chirp or radiodity program. My conclusion either issue with radio or cable. Will be going back to Amazon. Not so good quality. My Quansheng works and programs. Not all china stuff is bad.

Great Radio & Chirp support!
when I took it out of the box I like the feel. It feels solid and well built. Also the feel of the buttons is great. The microphone is a bit flimsy. The sound quallity is great and I am overall happy with it.For CHIRP you have to select the QYT KT-8900D radio, which might be the same. It just seems that the DB25 has better reviews and better support.please correct your review and just ask the community next time before you come to conclusions. This review is based on the price that I've paid. If you have a higher budget than I do you can of course get better sound quality, more power & options.I find it scans very slow, but probably I am just doing something wrong? For what it costs, it's great!
