Locking Gas Tank Cap Fuel Filler Door Cover for Jeep Wrangler JK Unlimited Sport Rubicon Sahara 2007-2017 with lock

I had to put the fuel fill body behind the metal truck bed, to get the gas cap farther back to shut the door on the locking cap. Then insert the set screws between the truck bed and fuel body. Took 15 minutes of rearranging and 3 minutes to put this locking door on. IT'S GREAT! really like the ease of use, and the LooK. I did locktite the set net on the hinge, so it wouldn't vibrate loose. Thinking of putting this same door on my Jeep!

My previous locking gas cap started becoming difficult to unlock. Enough to the point where I just didn't want to mess with it anymore so I ordered a new one. The metal on this one was much thinner than my previous one, but it's supposed to hold it's color better in the sun so we'll see. So far, so good!It was easy to install, just had to drill some new holes since they didn't line up with my other previous drilled holes.The door is a bit more jiggly than I want it to be, but it's not bad. Lock easily opens and closes. However, I'm not so sure this while stop people from stealing gas or filling the tank with non gas stuff, but it will slow them down just a bit. If the color stays consistent and doesn't fade, I'll be happy.

UPDATE 7/30/19: Changing to 1 star. Finally went offroading and this thing rattled the screw right off and now it is basically useless. Spend the extra $20 on something with much more quality that will last if you plan to offroad.I bought a Wrangler recently that had a locking gas cover on it, but the lock was broken off. So I was looking for a replacement for it. Unfortunately, this one feels much cheaper than the one that had the broken lock. The hinge has a super cheap screw that I have to keep tightening about once a week or else it rattles loose. Pretty sure I'm going to eventually lose it and render the gas cover useless completely. Though it looks cool and is somewhat functional, I was pretty disappointed with this overall. I ended up installing it after the timeframe expired for returns, so I'm stuck with it until I can find a better product to replace it.

Looks good when installed, probably provides at least a decent visual deterrent for people looking for cheap gasoline. However, the hinge pin came out shortly after installation. The lock held the gas cap in place until I got home. Easy enough fix with a bit of wire, but something to be aware of.

Kids in my area are messing with gas tanks so I bought this lock. It is a perfect fit, looks and works great and I was able to install in less than five minutes.

This was pretty easy to install. All I needed was a screwdriver and some muscle. Used it on my 2015 Jeep Wrangler 2D. Makes it look pretty cool!

I purchased this to replace a locking gas cap I finally lost. This allows me to use the original tethered gas cap. The installation was very easy. Took about 20-30 mins total. This won’t stop someone who really wants your fuel, but is a great deterrent with the lock. It was a good value and it really looks good installed.

I bought this because my new Wrangler has an exposed gas cap...and well I'm in Miami. However, I haven't figured out how to install it. The plastic around the gas cap is so hard, I can't get the screws to go in. I think I'm going to need a drill but so far haven't had time to fool with it. In the meantime, it's sitting on my cabinet. If I can figure it out, I think it will be great and do what I want which is to provide some barrier to getting in my gas tank.
