As advertised.
I have a pitbull mix who like sto play with balls. Unfortunately, she also likes to chew, and though this is my second pall from this manufaturer, the handles are very quick to be bitten off. If that doe not bother you, than this is a good sturdy ball toy

VERY DURABLE !!!
This jolly ball has been a staple in my home dog boarding/ daycare business. I have one in each of my 3 play yards. They have held up for many years lying outside year round without the colors fading or material becoming brittle or cracking. They have stayed soft, maintained their shape & color, and been a favorite toy for both small & large dogs. I have a small 12 lb dog that likes to fetch this ball & play tug (which is hilarious because it is about as big as the dog). However it is used mostly by my medium / large dogs that absolutely LOVE it! It is definitely a favorite in the herding breed line, like border collies. While it is extremely durable and super tough and holds up to many teeth puncture marks, it is not indestructible. I have had to replace one of these over the last 3 years that 2 large dogs were able to tear in half after playing tug of war with it for too long. I would recommend not leaving it unattended as a play toy with large dogs unless you are there to monitor. This would make an excellent gift for almost any medium - extra large dog who likes to fetch or retrieve! These have been worth every penny spent for me!

Quality of the Product Appears to have gone down
I bought one of these a few months back and my dog loved it. It lasted for quite a while. I bought him a new one and noticed it seemed to be out of different material or different build quality. I didnt think much of it until he ripped apart the new one within a week. So i ordered the same original one i did of the light blue. Thinking it must just be a difference on the colors.I was wrong, this new one i just got is the same build quality as the one that lasted a week. Please go back to the build quality you originally had. A dog toy needs to be sturdy and tough and to last for 6 months to a year at least in my mind.If you are not able to maintain the same buold quality as the original then i would suggest a new design. You need to replace the pre-formed handle with an integrated rope pull that is is secured within the ball with the rope knotted and perhaps some sort of metal stopper inside the ball. The weak failure point on this ball is the handle where it connects to the ball. You need to change the material on how the handle connects in order for it to be more durable.I cannot recommend this ball any longer, no will i buy another until the build quality improves and the design is revisited to solve the problems i mentioned.

Dog loves it!
My dog absolutely loves to play fetch with these balls but chews the handles off pretty quickly, which then makes it hard for her to pick it up.

Not worth it anymore
This was my dogs favorite toy. He has had the red ball in the photo since he was 8 weeks old. He is now 13 months. He finally got a tear in the handle so I wanted to replace it so the ball can hang in the tree again but aside from the handle, the rest of the ball is in great shape still and still gets daily use.I had purchased another jolly ball in green to mix it up, It only lasted him about 3 days because of how thin and flimsy it was. My dog shredded that into pieces. I still find remnants left over from that battle. I wrote that off as my mistake since maybe with it being intended for a horse and apple scented then it could be built different. No big deal, MY FAULT.So I go back to my original purchase and place another order for the original red jolly ball. What I get is this flimsy ball that is the same as the green ball I mentioned, maybe worse. The first ball had bite resistance, it took a considerable amount of force to compress the ball even by stepping on it. These new balls that are being sent out you can compress them with only 1 finger. Its a joke honestly for the intended purpose. I would love to know where to buy a real jolly ball from again. As it stands, the replacement ball is being returned and I would deem these a waste of money until they figure out what is going on. Keep the original product but raise the price if you need to but don't produce a product that serves no actual purpose and is rubber going right to a landfill. So... yeah I don't know. I'm going to have to get him a real tire or something now since these jolly balls won't make the cut.

Best toy I’ve gotten so far for my Aussie
EDIT; I had to come back and edit my review because after that first day, my dog is OBSESSED with this ball. It’s his favorite thing to play with now! No more issues with his jaw getting caught in the hole of the handle, & he goes crazy over it! I am so glad it turned out this way. Best toy I’ve gotten him so far I think!I wanted to give this a five star review so bad. I had been wanting to get my +50lbs Australian Shepherd one for a while and finally did. First few mins after getting it out of the package he was loving it. Rolling & carrying it around, I was bouncing it for him, he was loving it. But literally in less than 5 mins, I was watching him biting on the handle, & his lower jaw got stuck in the handle part and he yelped. But it was stuck for less than like a few seconds, he got it out. I think he just panicked for a sec. Now, he won’t touch it. I’m hoping that maybe tomorrow he’ll forget what happened and want to play again, but idk. I definitely wouldn’t leave your pets with this toy unattended. I realized afterwards that he most likely can get his bottom jaw stuck in that hole pretty good if he got it in there the wrong way. & if nobody was around I could see that causing an injury. I like the handle part, but now I kinda wish it didn’t have the hole in the middle and was just a solid handle. But, hopefully he’ll stop being afraid of it eventually because he definitely loved it when I first introduced it to him.
