Good chili that is made without several food allergens
Love this chili. We use it on baked potatoes, with tortilla chips, or add beans. We have many food sensitivities at our house and are so happy this is beef-free, gluten-free, and dairy-free. Most canned chilis are not free of those ingredients, so we are delighted to find this item. It seems to be clean from cross-contamination.

The taste and quality is really good.
This has a really great taste for a can of almost anything.I do not usually review processed food items but this deserves a special mention. Except for a few soups this is the very first "meal in a can" I have tried that really tastes good and leaves no bad after taste. I do not really believe labels so I will have to wait to be sure this does not do anything to my metabolism that is unexpected. I am over 75 and have a few health problems and this does not seem, at least yet, to have any negative health impacts. The only negative is that it does make for a bit of stubborn cleanup. But i have a new really good dishwasher and in should get all the gunk off my dishes. All in all a very good product.

Good chilli
I liked the taste of this chilli,it is lower in sodium which is a plus. But it is not as thick as the Hormel chilli, it could use a few more beans,a little watery.

Love this chili
This is our favorite brand of canned chili so it's nice to be able to buy a case at a time on subscribe and save. Plus it is cheaper than going to grocery store.

A good start.
Amazon seems to batch the reviews of several varieties in to the same list of reviews. This for the Wolf brand Homestyle Chili with beans. Not my home style. But I have had trouble making Chili ever since the US gov. shut off cumin from Iran. Cumin is the base flavor for chili. The other cumin is inferior. But I do my patriotic duty and accept that my family is gonna have inferior cumin. I should have read the ingredients more carefully. Hard to do as they are printed on the label in small type and a dark backound. First--this stuff, as it comes out of the can, needs help. Too thin. Water is listed on the ingredients three times. Second --way too much salt. 1290 mg. Hard to find any bean flavor. So I added another can of pinto beans, a small can of Hatch roasted chile, lots more meat and let it simmer to get rid of some of the water and it tasted ok.

Good Stopgap
I like Wolf chili and we usually have a can or two in the cupboard. With shelter in place and limited access to a supermarket, (and limited product on the shelves), we bought some volume packs of different staples just to be safe. I got this because it was available and I knew the product. When we're out and about again, this will still be palatable. This is the "Homestyle" version, which, (to me), is milder but more flavorful than the straight Wolf chili with beans.Anyway, it looks like canned chili, which means you're more likely to eat it while camping than while dining at home, and it's loaded with salt. (What canned food isn't?) But it's a fine staple for general use. The 12 pack arrived in good shape. There were a few dents on a few cans, but nothing to effect the integrity of the cans. (And the dented ones taste better anyway.) Of more importance, the "best by" date is Feb 7, 2022, so these aren't out of date leftovers. So, this was a fine choice, and will be a nice change from all that tuna I bought.

Has made me ill all three times I tried it
I actually happen to enjoy this chili. It's not the most appealing looking canned chili out there but the flavor is good in my opinion. The problem I have with it is I have gotten sick all three times I've eaten it. The first time, I woke up in the middle of the night throwing up. I figured perhaps it was just a bug or something else I ate during the day. The second time, a few months later, I woke up in the morning super nauseous and ended up vomiting before leaving the house for work. Again, figured maybe it was nerves or something. So, I gave it a third and final go earlier this week. Sure enough, middle of the night I was greeted with vomiting and diarrhea. I always heat this up on the stove and make sure it gets to full temperature before eating so I don't know what the problem is. No other canned chili does this to me. Perhaps I'm just sensitive to one of the ingredients but nothing else destroys my stomach quite like this stuff. Needless to say, I will be avoiding this one from now on. If you eat this and end up feeling sick, don't dismiss it. It's likely the Wolf chili.
