I bought two of these wardrobes a few months ago, and I still very much like them for a number of reasons. First, they are well designed and crafted, using solid hard wood that is precision cut, shaped and finished. They are very large and hold a large amount of clothing and storage items. The hardware used is top quality, so the drawers slide and close smoothly, and the door henges are the high quality soft close design. The assembly instructions are well drawn out and written with plenty enough detail to make it easy to follow. The packaging used to ship the wardrobe is extremely well done, leaving little chance of damage during transport. (Three separate boxes for each wardrobe, 80 to 90 lbs. per box.) Though this product is a little on the pricey side, I feel that the quality of what I received is well worth the price.However, a word of caution: If you choose to order one of these wardrobes, make sure you know exactly what you want before you place your order, (color, style, size, quantity, etc.), or that you put in your cancellation order within 30 minutes of your original order, because orders that are cancelled due to customer’s discretionary change of mind, or orders that are not cancelled within 30 minutes will be shipped regardless of any cancellations, and the return shipment will be at the customer’s expense. (Return shipment of all three boxes through UPS will cost a total of around $425.) Neither Amazon nor Overstock will pay for the return shipping unless there is some visible damage or obvious manufacture’s flaw with the product.You won’t see any of this information on the promotion page for the product. So as for the wardrobe itself, they are great and worth the money in my opinion. Return shipping and Cancelation policies, not so great in my opinion, and need to be revised. (Why can’t a cancellation order be processed as quickly and efficiently as an original product order?) Good luck.

This closet is very easy to assemble and is very good quality. It will last for years.

I want to start by saying this is a beautiful, sturdy armoire once put together. I did not feel this was as easy as it was made out to be to assemble. Nonetheless, I got it done. The doors were not aligning correctly so I had to make several holes that I wish I hadn’t but you can’t see them unless I open the doors and point them out. Also, I feel that for nearly 1k it should have come with shelves instead of me having to purchase them separately. For this and for issues with the middle doors is the reason for my score. I will say, do take the time to ensure you have all the pieces before assembling so you don’t get in trouble mid build.

We were a bit nervous, but so pleased with how it all went. The support from this seller/company was surprisingly good. My wife is super picky about colors, and they sent her a couple samples. The cabinet that we received was exactly the color she chose, no surprises. Also, my wife is sensitive to smells and chemicals. And although you can smell the wood just a little bit, it is almost no odor, and my wife is doing fine with it. That's a big deal for us. Note, it is quite a process to assemble it, it took us many hours, but we did figure it out. Mostly, screwing things into predrilled holes and such, but it is a bit tricky. Definitely a 2 person job. Obviously, assembling it ourselves saved us a lot of money, it would need to cost a lot more if it came per-assembled (we checked). And it is mostly solid wood, not cheap pressed boards or such. We thank the staff for answering our questions, and helping us when UPS made a delivery mistake.

If you can build a basic Lego set, you can build this. It arrived a few days late, I assume that was on FedEx’s end so it doesn’t affect this review. I was worried about shipping cuz this product is made of mdf, it arrived undamaged and well packaged. Assembly took about 4.5 hours and was really easy. Dowel pins lined everything up nice and pocket screws tightened everything together nicely. I assembled it alone it a tight space. If I built in in a bigger room it would have taken way less time. The quality of the knobs is pretty low but that easy to fix. My only complaint is the paint quality leaves something to be desired. I was hoping for more of a cabinet quality paint being smooth. It’s more of a flat white paint with a dry texture. But I am happy with my purchase. Would not recommend for kids especially ones who are hard on things.

The solid wood is equal parts pine boards with veneer (which is poorly painted with drools and drips prominent on the doors) and plywood (¼ inch and ½ inch). The design is largely good but for the overuse of ¼ inch plywood. Though it is pictured with shelves it comes with none. You may purchase some for an additional charge or for TWO additional charges for what should have been included for a completely functional unit. The clothes rods are not rods at all, but 1X2 boards which do not stay in place when you lift a hanger from them. On the item I received there were 8 boards with significant cosmetic issues including gouges and scratches from ½ inch to 5 inches (these are all out-facing and visible boards). Customer support was no help and after a week of obfuscation with about 7 back and forths I gave up. You have better options. I originally gave them overall two stars for the design quality, but as there is resistance to my posting the negatives I felt I had to drop a star. If you are on the fence when balancing cost with value I would suggest you have the information to reach an informed decision.

The cabinet came faster than expected and looks great and works well.The company Palace Imports was great when we had questions and resolved the issues promptly.I highly recommend them.

It takes time to assemble. Patience is definitely needed. Well worth the time assembling. You will need extra hand. My husband and I had no problems. This item is built well ,so it is heavy . Absolutely Awesome !
