Outstanding mower, Ok shipping.
I'm giving this 5 stars because the Honda Mower is awesome and works fantastic. But the shipping was a problem. The handle was bent in shipping. It was minor but could have been worse. I would suggest not just pulling the mower box off the shelf and slapping a label on it, leaving its fate to UPS or FedEx. We all know that heavy packages suck for the employees so they tend to get beat around a lot on the journey to you. I would suggest double boxing such an expensive item such as this to ensure it arrives in good working order. I didn't complain or throw a fit. I fixed it myself and all is well. I love the mower. Honda mowers are some of the best out there. Get them while you can, as they are making no more. I will say my order was shipped quick and no problems from this seller whatsoever. It just needed a bit more shipping protection.

Great Mower, the best
It has the Green sticker, proof it has been back to the factory for the recall to update the compression release mechanism. Some recently made mowers developed a problem with the compression release mechanism that made starting difficult. Honda issued a stop sale and return to the factory for replacement of the mechanism with a revised unit. Those that have been updated have a green sticker on the box at the serial number. I purchased this to replace a 30 year old Honda before they go out of production. This is definitely a nice upgrade from the 30 year old model that has been trouble free. Expensive but a pleasure to use.

Worst Mower
The mower did not even start took it to a mechanic and they stated that the oil they shipped me wasn’t enough to start the engine. Now I have to have a whole motor rebuilt on a brand new mower. Great job Honda…never again will I buy another Honda.

A+ Customer Service Jacks small engines
I am super pleased with the customer service at Jack Small Engine. We had an issue with the handle getting damaged in shipping and they replaced it with a new handle. They didn’t have it in stock and had it shipping to us! Super happy with them.I LOVE the mower aswell. Love the push start and will own one from now on, I’m very disappointed that Honda has chosen to stop making push mowers! We had our last one for 10 years and read they were discontinuing them so we purchased our dream mower and were not disappointed at all

Unhappy
Mower arrived wit damage to controls for engaging the blade. I’ll have to take it to a repair shop and pay out of pocket for the parts and labor. Honda’s are great mowers but don’t buy from Amazon!UPDATE: mower repaired at local Honda dealer. Parts required for operation were completely missing and had to be ordered. Repair complete and mower operate perfectly. Additional cost of $60. No offer to refund from Amazon retailer. Buy from your local dealer!

Form follows function
Full flexibility from bagging to mulching and points in-between. The hydrostatic transmission pushes my mower effortlessly over my somewhat lumpy lawn and it starts right up with a twist of the wrist. I must be getting spoiled in my old age.

Head Over Heels Happy with this monster of a mower!
WOW.... I expected a "Cadillac" after spending the $ on this mower. It is quite heavy, however, if utilized well will aid with the self-propelled action, as the rear wheels stay on ground to get traction due to the weight. I have had mine 4 months now, and I must admit, it is everything I expected, plus. I have a weak heart, so I get worn out fast. With this mower, as long as I have enough energy to walk, the rest I let the mower do. Its early November now, and I am totally impressed with the way it tackles leaves. If ran at an easy pace, it works like a vacuum on my yard. Impressed, big time!!! Yes, I received a CADILLAC, and boy, do I love it.

HEAVY and Awkward controls
I hate this lawnmower. Yes, the motor cranks right up. Great. All new mowers crank right up. But there are a lot of downsides to it.1. The drive and control system is HORRIBLE. You have to squeeze a lever to make it "safe". Then you have to push a button to engage the clutch system to keep the blade turning. THEN you have to push another bar with your right hand to make it go forward with the propelled action and then keep flipping that bar back and forth when you stop and go like in any tight area or at the end of your path before you turn around. So, instead of a squeezable throttle or trigger you are using one hand on the mower anytime you back up or turn around. There could easily be a better design out there and I think I have seen it on the Husq that I should have bought but didn't.2. the bagger system is basically a dust blasting system. It gets so dirty and then gets you dirty and then gets the yard dusty and gets dust EVERYWHERE! I know it's a positive flow system but holy cow it's dusty! It's also not very precise. For example, when you open the spring activated lid on the rear to attach the bagger IF you can keep it open before the massive spring snaps it back on your hand there are little grooves and lips and plastic channels everywhere that collect grass and dirt. You literally have to use a blower to get all the grass out of these areas because it otherwise will stay there and get thicker and thicker forever.3. The WEIGHT. Holy moly this thing is a HEAVY MONSTER!! Wow, it's insane how heavy it is and this has the "nexite" deck which I thought was a polymer type lightweight deck but is apparently made of lead. It's SO cumbersome to move around and if the mower is off it's near impossible. I'll bet it weighs 80 lbs and it is very difficult to load in a truck or van.4. The COST. It's WAY too expensive for what youre getting. I was fooled by the "HONDA is the best" b.s. I've have dozens of mowers over 30+ years and they all last 5 to ten years or other parts of them wear out so you replace them. This isn't something that needs to keep running over 10 years and even if it does you will be worn out from the heavy lifting you'll be doing. It's a mower motor. Honda isn't magic and I won't be fooled again. I thought it would be some amazing smooth, quiet, gentle mowing experience but it's exactly like any mower from the 70, 80s, 90s, 00s, or today. BRAAAAAAWWWHHHH!!! That's the sound it makes like all other mowers.5. The mower works. It's cranks right up. Awesome. I bought it for that reason. But otherwise there is NOTHING SPECIAL about this mower. If someone makes a mower with a squeezable handle for forward and one one the left for reverse I would buy it immediately and give this 900$ Honda away. I want to kick myself everytime I have to use it. I hate everything about it besides the electric crank. It cuts well. THEY ALL DO!Two stars because it does exactly what it was designed to do. One star for me for buying into Honda bullcrap. Zero stars to the people who designed it because they do not mow grass, you can easily tell that.I replaced it with a battery powered Oregon unit that weighs 20 lbs. It's so nice.
