This review is for the Husqvarna 592752602 Forest Helmet, Orange. Delivered today and immediately opened box to discover what I got. Yes the instructions aren't very good, in fact, horrilbe...I used the pictures which are confusing also. The helmet is much easier to put together than it appears from the instructions...took me a little figuring and 10 minutes later I had what I wanted. A very decent quality product that WILL protect you. I cut firewood up that is mostly on the ground but have cut down my share of trees up to 30" and more.The thickness is good and will protect you quite well from branches while bucking limbs...widow makers...small ones maybe ok...larger ones, lets be honest, a 200 dollar helmet will provide little protection from those...that's why they call them widow makers. The face screen is decent. It's nylon and metal mesh. Seems very capable of handling large chips. Flips' up out of the way very easily and keeps chips and sawdust from coming down from above your eyes if adjusted properly. Ear muffs are very good sound mufflers. No rain guard in back. I didn't see that in the description anyway. I could wear this for hours without any discomfort. Whew... not more baseball cap with safety glasses and ear muffs...very uncomfortable and my earmuffs get to stay with my shooting hardware. Life is easy and safe again.What are the bad reviews about? Maybe for a different helmet...that's why I put on this review the product name and item number.Buy these unless you desire to spend more money.Now the instructions again. Snap the face screen onto the holder then snap the visor onto that. Slide the head band together on the helmet. Slide the earmuffs down on the helmet then slide the face screen assembly into the earmuff holders. Easy breezy, up and easy...Bam your done. I think I could make some money writing instructions for these guys.Please, Please, Please, if write a review for something please include the item name and number so the rest of us will know if your review is for the wrong item. It's a copy and paste thing...not rocket science.

I cut a lot of wood and have used a variety of helmets (low and high cost) but the last two have been this one. Durable and almost invisible face guard, comfortable and effective ear muffs and a good fitting helmet. Just add a wrap around the forehead part of the suspension (best for me is a piece of neoprene computer cable management wrap with velcro closure) which I can take off easily and wash. Helmet parts available online.

I use this helmet for more than chainsaw work. This is my 3rd helmet in many, many years and although I have tried other brands, I love that the hearing protection snaps up out of the way when not needed instead of rotating to the back or front as another brand does. However, the instructions are somewhere between lame and non-existent - don't fight it, just go to U Tube where others have wrestled with the same issue to find the answers you are looking for (seems like that should be Husqvarna's job though).

Dropped a chunk of steel on it. Did not break the mask. It bent right back into-shape!!!Very hard to assemble. Be patient. Think like an IKEA Finnish dude, and maybe set it down for a while. It will go together. The next one would take me 10 seconds to assemble. I prefer Huskyvarna helmets and Huskyvarna platinum .95 weed whack string; althouhg I have every single STIHL tool known to mankind, and womenkind.... I use it for mowing at my apartment complex and battling trees.

Been using this for a good 5 days now and the only thing I can find wrong with it is a slight mis-shapen face shield, but it doesn't affect visibility or usability of the shield.Comfortable, durably made, great value.

I love this hat, it's very comfortable and easy to use. The ear protection is great and i love the way the ear protection just flips out of your way and the mesh screen. I find it very comfortable and if your like me you get busy doing projects and you just forget ear plugs or sometimes even safetly glasses and I Can't count the times I got hit in the hit by cutting down brush, a limb might swipe your head. The safety helmet is a great safeguard especially if your a bald guy. OUCH! I bought the hat for it's looks, love the bright orange color, the easy use features. Like another man said he thought it would have the ratchet system for adjustment to size. it does not, however the easy use strap is very comfortable but you do have to remove it to make the adjustment. but once you set it for your preference your good.. the ratchet system is the only thing that would make this great safety hat Even better. IT'S worth the purchase just for the awesome ear protection and great looking shell. It is a busy man's best friend when your working hard. I really love this hat.

The right Muff broke first and then a couple months later the left ear muff broke and now they no longer stay on the helmet. This thing sucks. Chainsaws are pretty good I suppose but this $50 helmet really sucks.

Great fit. Highly recommend not only for use with a saw but also the edge trimmer and blower etc. feels so much safer in protecting the face. Quality mesh and ear muffs and the fit with the band is very comfortable
