Works great the only downfall is if it gets to cold it doesn’t work. It bounces back and forth and doesn’t stop. My last one worked great all summer till it dropped in temperature.

Works well for portion control.

Love these over the years, but over time, some less than one year into use, they fail in one way or another. Touching the control panel to achieve a tear, change units, or turn the unit off or on becomes increasingly nonresponsive. They are extremely prone to being do you destroyed by water, I think even A film of water on the countertop can screw up the electronics. Anyhow they were very good about replacing them just by discussing it over the phone, did that even send it back. I had bought these more than once through Costco. But now they don’t answer my voicemails and so I have bought two others off Amazon here today to test them out. I would never buy one of these again.

Recently started acting up, solved with a calibration procedure that I really had to search for to dig up.Calibration procedures for anybody that might need them:1) Press and release power button. While starting up (all segments on display lit), tap the "Unit" button 5 times. If successful, screen should show a large value that changes constantly.2) Press power button one more time. Screen should show 5000g.3) Place a 5000g mass on the scale (Bowl full of water measured on another scale works fine).4) Wait for any movement to stop, then press the power button. Screen should show "PaSS" and restart.5) Calibration done, weigh a few items to double check that everything seems about right.Congratulations, now your old Polder kitchen scale that suddenly started spitting out gibberish measurements has a little life left in it!

One I received had a big problem with the electronic module, the screen would change if you touched it. The buttons to clear or change units didn’t work. I think this one was damaged, I returned it did not bother to buy another one as quality control is obviously lacking. Magnet wasn’t strong enough either, the electronic module it always break free. The design was kind of a nuisance.

I love that the readout is able to be extended for ease of read.

My wife was really looking forward to getting this scale to replace her older unit that lost accuracy. We pulled the plastic strip off the battery and it came right on. Large display and scale was accurate weighing. But we had to zero out the scale for a plate and bowl. The instructions said to turn it off with the bowl/plate on it. Then it would zero to get proper weight readings. According to the directions you have to hold your finger on it for 3 seconds to turn off or on. It turned off but them we could not get it to turn back on. I had to pull the last battery & plug it back in again. If you do that though the bowl has to come off. then it does not account for the bowl weight. I tried with my fingers instead of my wife's hands and it came on but I could not turn it off. It needs to work all the time - had to return for refund

I was sent a scale someone had already used. The packaging was opened when I received it. The scale had chunks of food stuck under the metal top and food/water spots on top. The batteries were dead. I reached out to amazon and they insured me that I ordered a “new” one. Amazon sent me a replacement and the replacement came unused and works great!! I love how the display unattached and makes weighing bigger bowls easier
