healthy, easy to digest bean, versatile, good cooking instructions, quality product/brand
--There ARE cooking instructions on the bag.--These will cook down to soft but fir, or total mush. Ask me how I know, haha. OOps. I had put in my slow cooker on high and pretty much forgot about them. Instructions say (if using slow cooker) to cook on low 4-5 hours, or 2-3 on high. I put it on high and cooked for the 4-5 hours. Still edible, just will be making hummus and something akin to refried beans. Or could make a red bean paste for pastries and such. I cooked a lot, so I have a lot to work with.-- First time I made them, I correctly cooked them for the time and temp I wanted. Nice soft bean but still held shape and mouth feel. Nice for adding to anything. Good bean to consume.I have not soaked them before cooking, though this would reduce cook time if I do so. This is what I would do if I planned to cook on stove top.Overall fresh, looks good, smells good, well packaged, no critters, easy to digest, so very healthy, cooks up well (unless you forget about them, haha), good brand, trusted brand. Will likely buy more.

excellent but..
I think the value is great for the adzuki beans and they taste great. I knocked off a star because there were a couple of things in mine that im pretty sure were not beans (hard black rough things) or if they were beans - not the quality to be eaten. I know that when people cook pinto beans they sort them looking for off pieces but I just think I got a few actual rocks in mine. But it takes four seconds to sort through beans so its not a huge issue to pick through and clean. I made these in adzuki bean paste. I soaked them, then poured out the water. then boiled them and poured out the water and repeated that process two more times. No hint of any kind of bitterness just nice bean flavor. Then through them in a food processor with swerve(a fake sugar) and boom bean paste. super easy to make. I used the bean paste in taiyoki and in a bread.the attached photos are of the package, the bean paste, and the bean paste swirled bread.

Smaller size than other brands
After cooking these are more tender than other brands I have tried. Pre soaked or not. Soaking ensures that every bean will be soft, yet retian it's shape. I could not get them to sprout

Great buy
I live about 100 miles + roundtrip to any market I know about that stocks Adzuki beans. They are a critical part of my diet, thus I am delighted to be able to purchase online from Amazon Prime at a very competitive price, with the real bonus of convenience. Thanks Amazon. If you have trouble digesting beans, these are some of the easiest on the digestive system that I've discovered. You MUST soak them for 24 hours before cooking, else they will be hard as rocks. But after the soak, they cook quickly in comparison to other dried beans. Adzuki beans are a tad sweet - as the Japanese use them in desserts. I use them in chili, soups, tacos, beans and rice, hummus, etc. I love this organic brand.

I grind the beans to made a face scrub
I use to buy an adzuki bean face scrub in high school, and realized years later I can just make my own by grinding the beans in a coffee grinder until it's a mildly coarse powder. Wet face, gently massage scrub, rinse with cold water. Glowing complexion!

very high quality compared to bulk beans I have bought previously.
They were high quality and very clean and therefore easy to use. Made bean paste for filling moon cakes and other soups etc.

Black Bugs!!
Was late on getting to use the beans - didn't even open the bag yet, and tonight I discovered my cupboards infested with strange black bugs everywhere! Upon further investigation there were these same black bugs packed inside the unopened bag of beans! I threw away the bag in a panic before getting a picture, but if you go down in the reviews you'll see that someone else posted a picture of the same bugs! Highly recommend you DO NOT buy this!
