Neither rain nor sun will stand a chance when you gather beneath the Castlecreek Market Patio Umbrella. This umbrella is rugged yet ready, featuring a 1 7/8in. diameter hardwood pole and brass plated fittings. Atop the pole is a Teflon-treated poly fabric canopy that repels water and resists the sun, all with 8-rib construction to keep the umbrella in place when open, providing an ample 9ft. diameter of coverage. The pulley system with brass pin makes it easy to open and close the umbrella. Measures approximately 7ft.9in.H. Umbrella base sold separately.

Great umbrella
We have purchased 4 of these umbrellas from this seller at different times. We love these. The umbrella cover is thin and lightweight but durable. THe pole is wooden (we don't like the plastic poles) and it has a great cord for opening. Would recommend this product and this seller. We really need some 7 foot umbrellas but they are really hard to find anymore (at least without paying an arm and a leg). The 9ft umbrellas on the market seem to be less expensive than 7 ft. Go figure.

Good patio umbrella for the price.
I did my research on all the similar options here on Amazon. This was by far the most inexpensive yet pretty well reviewed umbrella. Actually, really a great price, something like $30.00. It arrived and it was exactly as expected and works fine. Yes, the fabric may be a little on the thin side, but, I was expecting that. It's been up all summer and is doing fine. For the price, I think the quality is good enough and I'm happy with my purchase.

Fantastic price, dressed up our old patio set!
This umbrella is great, and for the price you just can't beat it! It lasted us the whole summer and is still out there standing on our patio as I look out the window with extreme winds right now. It's held up very well and I was very surprised. It looks fantastic too, we added it to a somewhat cheaper patio set and it really dressed it up!Update: it lasted us three years and did super well! We had a wind storm and it took flight and ripped, so we are on our second one, but it was still working excellent before that. I'd still say it was a great investment and good for the price for three years of use, we just bought the same one again for this summer!

Nice buy
Very happy with this umbrella overall. The quality seems great and it's a pretty color. The only thing I'm not happy with is the way it goes up and down. There isn't a crank like I assumed there would be. You have to pull down on a string and insert a pin into the pole to hold the umbrella in place. I'm 5'4" and have to stand on chair in order to do this. Not a huge deal but also not very convenient. I also have a hard time putting down the umbrella.

Attractive and Good Value for the Price
Great price (I paid roughly a third of what this size usually costs) for this large, attractive patio umbrella. The pole is wooden and secures the canopy with a metal peg pushed through holes in the pole. The only downside to this was that at 5' 2" I'm too short to reach the lowest hole, so I had to have someone saw off nine inches from the length. It works just fine now and isn't too low for someone taller to stand up underneath it. Aside from having to make this modification, it's a good value.

Great buy
Does the job and you can't beat the price. I didn't want to spend a lot of money on a shade umbrella because I'm the sort of person who will forget to fold it down in a storm and get it broken. I got the tan/khaki color, because when it fades it still looks fine, just lighter than it was before. The pole and opening mechanism are nice and sturdy. It doesn't come with a string to tie it closed and stop it from being blown around, seems like this would only cost an additional couple of pennies for the manufacturer to add this in. I use an old bungee cord which, though it works, looks less than elegant.

Very good umbrella...unbeatable price
Love these! Great price! Very sturdy. Fabric is slightly thinner than some higher end umbrellas but still very acceptable. The wood poles look nice too. I have heard that wooden poles do not hold up as well as metal poles in the long run...but realistically all umbrellas need to be replaced every so often anyway because the sun fades the fabric coloring (even on pricier umbrellas), so I don't think a wooden pole is an issue...especially given the price.

I got this umbrella for my back yard and I love it! It's a very nice quality and you can not beat the price. It's easy to open and close and has different settings depending on how high or low you want to open it. It works break for blocking out the sun when my kids are outside and in the pool.
