Environmental Studies :

This book has to be the best when it comes to not just bluntly studying but also gaining a deep knowledge on the ongoing Environmental Crisis that we found ourselves at. The reason for this is the way this book has been written. The Author, Mr R. Rajagopalan being a keen Environmentalist himself, has tried to present the current situation of crisis in a very simple language to the readers. It just can't get any better than this. When I first started reading this book, I just did it for the sake of the subject from which questions will be asked in Entrance Exam. But now, I just can't stop myself from reading it and that is only because of the way the author has managed to connect with readers on all the issues and terms. Truly a masterpiece and should be read by everyone no matter if they are giving some exam or not.

Not as detailed and good as Shankar ias book for upsc and other state pcs exams.

This book outlines each and every topic in great detail and indeed very much helpful for any competitive exam, even toughest ones like UPSC CSE and IES. Though I'm not preparing for UPSC exams but I have seen this book has MCQs, long and short questions to answer at the end of every chapter that will make the reader think alot of the topics she/he has perused through.

It's not for upsc,if u want to go for upsc than go for another book written by rajagopalan for upsc pre and mains it's price is 445 and it's under Lexis Nexis publication.but for this book I wl say it will make your basics Crystal clear in very lucid manner. I m using this book for brushing my basics.current affairs is needed with this books as this book isn't covering that portion.This is really baap of all environment books for basics only.Hit like if u liked my review. :)

Still half way to finish the book. But I can vouch for this book as an excellent read if you need to understand environmental issue better in a simple and convincing way. Basic to advanced terminologies have been simplified to communicate readers in an easier way. Good for academic purposes and for avid environmental studiers too.

As such good for mains but not for prelims. Cos prelims requires factual information which is lacking in it..Overall good to read for general purpose but for upsc... It is so ao types

Book is excellent ...it has more syllabus and it is useful for the exam ..and it has more mcqs so it's really useful , and while reading this we may get knowledge ..I love this book
