This is more visually pleasing than a lot of other record weights out there—no logo, low profile, simple black color—and does the job perfectly. I bought it in conjunction with a cork platter mat and it works exactly as expected. It helps stabilize and slightly depress slightly warped vinyl. (It ain't gonna magically fix super outta shape records!) The only downside is it covers up most of the actual label on the vinyl itself, so if you wanna see a pretty label spin around (or easily read the track labels if you're missing a sleeve) this might not be for you.

I had very low expectations. I was ready to call it out as the emperor wearing no clothes. But lo and behold, from the first record I put on, The Beatles White album, I could hear an extra richness. So I immediately took it off and played it again. The sound went back to a thinner less resonant version. Even my son and wife, who are not audiophiles, said they could hear the difference. I have been excitedly playing my albums in random order, discovering new sound qualities on my extensive collection. Lower bass, less wow and flutter, increased clarity. I can play the records louder too because it reduces feedback from my subwoofer. We’re talking about a 3-5% increase in sound quality. Like going from 128kbs mp3 to 320kbs. If your ears can hear that on your system then do not hesitate. Very affordable. And it fits perfectly under my closed dust cover. I am in sonic heaven. A must for vinyl fans.

I bought this because I changed out my rubber mat on my Technics SL 1200 for a cork mat, which doesn't lay as flat as the rubber one. Honestly, I can't tell any other difference in playing quality, except I look younger, my luck has improved and I'm much more better looking. No, I'm lying; it didn't do any of those things, including make the TT sound crisper, add bass, improve the soundstage, nothing.If you think you need a little more weight to smooth out the TT rotation, well OK, but my TT keeps well enough control over the speed to not have to worry about it.It is a low profile so if you have a really low cover it could clear it better. It has a layer of velvety material on the bottom so it won't mar your record label or any furniture you put it on when you're changing records. The spindle hole is well sized and the the whole stabilizer looks well centered on the spindle, so it won't cause its own speed issues.

Heavy enough to keep it flattened against the turntable platter mat under it. Reduces wobbliness in the rotation of the record. Excellent addition to your turntable set up at a reasonable price.

This actually does a good job and has a nice felt bottom. Well done and worth the investment, cheers!

I'll be the first to admit, I was a bit skeptical about the true usefulness of stabilizers, so I figured I'd try one of the less expensive varieties first. If you don't have older vinyl and are rocking primarily heavy weight 180g pressings, the Femeli Record Weight Stabilizer (or any stabilizer for that matter) shouldn't be necessary. However, if you have some older vinyl or lighter weight pressings, a stabilizer will make a significant difference in stability and sound quality. I've got a vintage JVC QL-Y5F table that has the electromagnetic servo tonearm that already accounts for warpage, but I'm still hearing a significant difference on my older/lighter weight vinyl in back to back testing with/without the stabilizer. I have the high profile (heavier) version of the stabilizer, and it seems to be the perfect size/weight combination, especially for those with high torque direct drive tables. If you're using a belt drive table, I would probably recommend going with the lower profile (lighter) stabilizer (or even a clamp vs a stabilizer), especially if you don't have pitch control to adjust speed. Even then, having this much additional weight at the spindle may cause premature belt wear. It is also worth mentioning that clearance could certainly be an issue for tables with low profile dust covers. My QL-Y5F is a big table to begin with and has plenty of clearance, even with the lid down. Overall, the Femeli has made me a believer in the usefulness of stabilizers, and the build quality is very good for the price. It's a perfect fit on the spindle, has a nice quality felt backing to protect your vinyl, and is perfectly balanced and wobble free. After using it for a few weeks, I see no reason to upgrade. It's a keeper!

The item works really well and is finished to a high standard. The hole in the middle is little too large which means the spindle doesn't fit snugly and the weight can sit ever so slightly off-centre, but it's not a big deal. It would be nice to see a range these items built to different weight specifications to suit everyone's individual needs.

I'm not going to trawl through a thesaurus to find adjectives that describe the 'improved' sound heard by the use of a record weight. Sonically, I struggle to hear any difference. But what this stabilizer does do well is flatten those slightly warped records that in turn greatly improve stylus tracking. I can at least see the improvement!

Definitely a solid weight and it works excellent for records that are warped a specific way. Such that it does a really great job in pressing the centre part down such that the record is slightly flatter. It does not do much on the side that warps upwards if that makes sense! It definitely stabilises mildly warped record and helps with the skating especially if you're using an entry level tt like my LP60XBT.
