Great anchors
These anchors work great on the ridge of our shingled roof. The D-rings pivot freely so it's easy to clip-in and appear to be cad plated so it should not rust. I used additional poly sealant but the self-stick goo on the bottom side looks like enough to seal around the nails.

Exactly what I wanted.
I'm using these as roof anchors for a power riser. The current "anchors" appear to be a heavily rusted thick screw and washer straight through the shingles and roof with a glob of tar on top. The roof is being redone and these anchors will be the new ones. Features I like: 1) Stainless steel (mostly, the ring is zinc-coated) 2) butyl strip to seal the nail holes. 3) included stainless steel screw nails, 4) thin enough for the shingles to lie flat on top, 5) offset design for the ring attachment that allows the anchor to lie completely flat. This is the only one I found to have all these features. I would also be comfortable using this for a personal safety anchor point.

Works as designed
This definitely served the purpose. Any advice I could give is for metal roofs you'll want to place a square cut of thick flashing tape underneath the d-ring to avoid wear over time.

Stellar product and customer service
This ridge anchor is superior to other similar anchors for several reasons A butyl strip on the back of the anchor prevents leaks from the nails that are inserted to affix the anchor to a rafter or truss. And the provided stainless steel nails are spiral and thus have less propensity for pull-out should the anchor be stressed by the forces of a fall.. But the biggest difference is customer service. When I found that several nails had missed the rafter and I couldn't find replacement spiral nails, Guardian provided them without charge. Really stellar customer service.

Superior design and safety features...
I purchased two competing brands of permanent roof anchors. The Super Anchor Safety and the Guardian Fall Protection. The Super Anchor Safety cost less than the Guardian Fall Protection but it took two weeks to get the former. Both brands ship from Washington State. The pictures of the Super Anchor Safety here on Amazon does not convey the limitations of its product. When compared to the Guardian Fall Protection it becomes obvious which one has superior design and safety features. The Super Anchor Safety only has 6 holes for fasteners while the Guardian Fall Protection has 7. Both come with 8 spiral nails. The D ring on the Super Anchor Safety is limited on how high it could rise making it difficult to latch hooks. The loop that holds the D ring on the Super Anchor Safety has a shape that is not offset to one side. This prevents the anchor from laying flat on the surface. It makes water infiltration possible since the butyl strip will not come in full contact to the surface. In the end I kept the Guardian Fall Protection roof anchor and returned the Super Anchor Safety. The slight difference in price did not make it worth to compromise safety.

Have trusted my life with it and received compliments from workers
I wanted permanent anchors installed on our new house roofs to make working on them safer for myself and anyone else that has to get up on the 10/12 portions. They are firm with no play and give a very good sense of security. I have spent a few hours tied into them finishing up some work on the roof and have no issues. The carpenters installing the skylight commented on how nice they were and what a good idea they are on any new house with a steeper roof. The D ring is visible from the ground, but they do not stand out or detract from the house.

Good Anchor
Good strong anchor. Relatively easy installation. I have a cottage style roof so took a bit longer to lift the shingle cap. But the nails provided bite in very good. Would certainly buy again.

Piece of mind on a roof
The metal is a little thin for what you expect. But how it's mounted the strap will do the job. Just make sure the nails provided go into your roof truss, and use all the nails. The roof caps hide all but the D ring. From a distance you hardly see the ring.
