Entire family fun
This has been a great product from quality parts to quality fun. This is an item that has brought our entire household together to not only build what is in the book for each of the challenge levels but to even restructure and/or create entirely new set ups.Our kids love playing with Legos and for them to abandon them to have more time with this was a surprise for all of us. They enjoy not only building and creating with pieces but also to see it become animate with the marbles and moving parts. This product is a great value for the price as well as making everyone come together to be creative and analyze how it all will work "if we move this piece here and do this then that will happen".If you were considering purchasing this item or one like it go for it and get the 230 piece set. This made video games, tablets and TV time privileges go away - not because of it being enforced but by choice. Our household truly enjoys this product that has generated more bonding and creative time as a family.

Lots of fun. Neat toy.
Bought as a gift for my 7yr old. There are 3 build options. She could build the first on her own but the largest option takes the patience/skill of an adult as you’re adding multiple levels. The final assembled kit is fantastic. My daughter loves it. It’s not super sturdy though. Moving it is tough. I would suggest building it where it’ll be played with. Besides that the instructions were pretty easy to follow and the finished product is pretty impressive and it comes with plenty of marbles. I wish I had this when I was a kid.

The best marble set available IMHO.
My wife thought that getting a marble set would be good for our youngest's birthday and put a random one in. Before buying, I compared the various options out there and discovered that this particular one seems to be the best choice based on a number of criteria. The first thing to note is that the marbles are glass and colored. Nice, full sized marbles like you would be used to. I saw that several other sets only have plastic marbles and/or actually use miniature marbles (.43 inches or some such). The full sized ones are way better and they are less likely to be left on the floor since they are much easier to see. Well made glass ones roll a lot better. This set does have about double the pieces of many other sets, plus they are larger and easier to handle because the accommodate full sized marbles. The quality of the pieces themselves is excellent. I have not found any sharp edges or areas where moulding processes have created flaws, etc. The pieces do work nicely together, with enough friction to stay together well, but kids are able to pull them apart and keep remaking the tracks. The plastic is a good thickness and feels strong and stable. The instructions have 4 sets that are predefined which you can use as an exercise with your kid(s) for following instructions and introducing them to the set, before they start making their own stuff. They probably go overboard with the STEM talk, but you can hardly blame them for using the latest buzzwords and in fairness, this is a really good tool for helping kids learn how to build and how things work. My kids are already seeing what works and what doesn't and discovering things. All in all, I am kind of shocked that amazon's so called best seller is 5 bucks less but literally has half the pieces! This set is just really well made and is significantly more cost-effective than anything else. Definitely look for yourself but I am quite satisfied with this set and my boys played it all night as soon as it arrived.I just got it so I cannot attest to its longevity yet, but based on build quality, etc, I believe it will survive my household which is not gentle with their toys.A few notes to help you out:First, the horizontal bridge pieces only have 1 drop hole so that the marble crosses across. You need to make sure you make a note of where the hole is if stacking several of them so the marbles go back n forth instead of dropping straight down. :-)Secondly, several of the pieces are basically just for making supports. The things that look like yellow spinners and the acorn looking things are for stacking up to make support towers. This is for when you use the bridges up high and then chain them to another bridge. You'd build a support tower underneath the intermediate structure to hold it up.

Great for young kids. But pieces are fragile and built structure is not steady.
My 4yr old son LOVES this! He got for Christmas and spent all day Christmas and the day after building his marble obstacle course. It has been over a month and he is still playing with this. It is the first thing that he plays with when he wakes up and the last thing that he plays with before bedtime. My only complaint is that the pieces (especially the base) is.bot sturdy at all. The kids would have to build their structure on stable hard flooring and not on the carpet. It keeps falling over when built on the carpet. Even on hard wood flooring, the structure is very fragile and breaks constantly. And even though the set said it is 230 pieces, it looks like less than 200. My son ran out of pieces for his structure really quick. So maybe I will buy another set so that he can have enough pieces to build to his heart's delight.I do recommend this for young kids. My son is 4 yrs old and he is glued to this thing. If your kids like to build stuff, then this toy is great for them. My only complaints are the fragileness of the pieces and kit, and they need more pieces, and a sturdy base.

Hours of fun, imagination is the limit!!!
My children are not quite old enough for this set but this father has had an amazing time building these from the well designed instructions. Although my kids cannot build yet they have a lot of fun following the marbles and watching dad build. This set has a surprising amount of potential in what can be built and will last until they can build on their own. Very happy with the quality and price of this set!

Great marble run to keep your toddlers entertained!
I was a bit shocked to see so many pieces, but when I saw the quick guide on different marble run set ups from easy to hardest, I assembled a marble run easy. My 5 year old loved it! In a couple days, I set up a medium run, I was quite excited my self to build it and to see how my 5 year old was even more. Some days later I built the hardest run, so cool!! Once it was built I added some strips of painters tape to strengthen the towers and keep them from falling apart if my son accidentally knocked it over. He loves it! I love it! I recommend it.
