This is a heavy duty butter curler - quite elegant and beautifully constructed. However I have not used it so cannot tell if it is curling butter properly. No question about it, though, just looking at it, and holding the weight, I was very impressed. The design is outstanding. Quality!! A fine looking gift for the person who has everything and serves haute cuisine. Just to put it in a drawer is a shame. It is a piece of sculpture...and priced that way.

This is a very well made butter curler - superior quality to the ones I used back in the 70s. I searched all of my local restaurant supply warehouses for this tool but could only find it sold in a chef's set of small kitchen tools. Although it's "politically incorrect" to serve butter at every meal nowadays, this curler will stretch a block of butter for good while. And if you have little ones, they'll love the curls this tool makes.

Works with blocks but not as well with sticks. May have been how we used it in stead of tool itself. Extremely well built and heavy-duty. Once a technique is developed would work better. Experiment with various butters and temperatures for proper results.

I got this butter mold in the mail, and I can't believe the poor quality of this item. The pieces aren't level, and the wood isn't even sanded. For $50 I expected a mold that was a bit more refined. I never thought much of Paderno, the only thing I ever bought from them was a lobster cookie cutter on the East Coast a few years back as a souvenir, this mold just makes me want to never even consider their products again. I'm going to figure out how to send this back, because it's garbage. My shop class wooden projects from grade school were better finished. I gave it one star, because the engraved flower looks like the one in the photo. The flower is smooth, but the oval around it, is super rough, I don't want wood chips in my butter. The wood is chipped in a few spots. This butter mold looks like it came from a dollar store, but in total with shipping and import fees, it cost $77.08 CDN. Very disappointing. This item should have more photos, and close ups.

This mold is too difficult to use. I have to pry the butter out of the mold and there is very little cow imprint on the bottom of the butter. I have tried spraying it, soaking it with water, and removing the butter before it gets really cold- all with much difficulty. Maybe I simply do not know how to use it; but, I received no instructions if there is a better way.

I found it quite difficult to remove the butter without ruining the design. This is a beautiful mold, I may just keep it on my counter instead of actually using it. A silicone mold would be much easier.

Trovo troppo caro per un utensile e poi alla fine non svolge propria funzione bene. Si deve avere un pezzo di burro lungo 20cm per ottenere effetto da foto

Génial, ça fait de belles coquilles de beurre à préparer à l'avance. Le beurre est plus facile à étaler et n'est plus sali par les couteaux remplis de confiture....

Per un utensile così semplice è apprezzabile la qualità e la pesantezza dell' acciaio. il prezzo è comunque in linea
