Seems promising...
Took WAY to long to ship. By the time it arrived i had deformed wing virus and was to far along for this to do any good what so ever. I'm going to try it again this season.. definitely only useful on single brood boxes though. This seems to be promising for apiaries with just a couple hive at most as it takes a very long time to treat each hive and you need to lug around a battery for it..Only giving it 3 stars till i can successfully use it. If it works and i remeber i will update this review with more stars..

No chemicals required.
I haven't used the product yet. However several bee enthusiasts I know say it is an effective way to reduce the Varroa mite population in bee hives without using chemicals treatments.

Seems to work as advertised
A little slow to ship but seems to be well made. So far so good. I’ve treated 4 hives and it seems to be working as advertised.

How effective is this device??
Not really sure if this device is very effective or safe for the honeybee colony. Since according to the maker each treatment is 3 hours per hive per treatment it seems very time intensive. If you only have 1 or 2 hives it would take a few hours for the treatments. The treatment might have to repeated every week as the mite population would start to increase again after the treatments. Also I have concerns about the devices temperatures affect on the brood. According to the manufacturer the device is placed on top of the brood boxes for treatment. As bees naturally keep temperatures in the brood area between 92-94 degrees Fahrenheit, using this device according to the makers the temperatures are maintained at a Temperature of 107 F for the 3 hour treatment period. The temperatures in the brood areas during the treatment period maybe excessive and could negatively affect the brood. This device is not very portable as you would have to carry around at least 1 or 2 large batteries to your Apiary to treat multiple colonies. Also the cost of the device is rather expensive. The video listed for YouTube isn’t available.I will continue to use Oxalic Acid Vapor treatments, since Oxalic Acid is a naturally occurring substance and was recently approved for use when honey supers are present by the EPA in the United States and at present I believe is the most effective, safest and cost effective method for the treatment of honeybee colonies for the Varroa mite currently available.
