A great value for the price and for a throwback that does not update phones often
I don't actually link this to Map my Walk because my smart phone a 3rd generation iPhone, and the phone and fitness tracker refuse to communicate. I am sure if I was to upgrade, but that is another story. Because I cannot link to a program I cannot clear my memory. So it always says the memory is full.I do not see this as a fault of the product but rather my own lack of up to date equipment. Despite those things this is a very accurate pedometer and meter. I love it for the price. I am very hard on fitness meters and wash them lose them break them, and for a very small cost I really like this one. It has the best clip to clothing, an accurate count, and the best value for a limited information meter. I like it! I have used lost and broke 2 fitbits, and while I like what the fitbit offered I think this is an inexpensive good pedometer.

COLOSSAL WASTE OF MONEY
COLOSSAL WASTE OF MONEY! I bought this because I trusted the reviews I read on Amazon that misled me to think this will synch with my Nokia phone. Apparently not. No big deal - I started just monitoring my step count and calorie burn and manually feeding to my portals. BUT... after less than 6 months I started getting a flashing message that the memory is full. I reset it every night but apparently this did not clear the memory. Took out the battery all together - still did not clear the memory and every now and then it gets stuck on this warning and will not go to my count screen, so basically useless most of the time. I wrote the manufacturer to ask how I can clear the memory. No way to do this unless I synch with a compatible device - I don't own any of the deceives on their very short list of compatibles so I guess the little gadget can go to the trash. Waste of money and very frustrating since none of that was explained before I purchase.

Fiddly bits
This seemed a neat little gadget for someone who didn't want to carry an iphone on a morning run. Initially it seemed to track my stats ok but when I adjusted the step length because it was underestimating the distance travelled, it seemed to go a bit crazy and credited me for about 3 times the number of steps that I ran. I had only increased the default setting based on height by about 10% and now I've put it back but still don't think that it is tracking the number of steps accurately.I didn't realise that I wouldn't be able to isolate my morning's activity from the normal days' worth of steps to create a running log. Need to input this via MapMyRun stable of apps so all the tracking starts to look really messy.

Great product, poor product support
Customer service with the product is horrible (not an Amazon issue, a Sportline issue). Product was sold before real-world technology was ready for it and could interact with the device. Had to put the device away for 3 months before the manufacturer developed an app for the android phone (which was advertised on product as working with both android and iphones), however android phones were not compatible until several months after product's release.

Not perfect but gives me info on activity
Sync does very well although sometimes doesn't download to iPhone properly. Have to try to sync couple times to upload. Also graph bar in activity does not always show times of activity. If I update every several days at a time inaccurate upload occurs missing of daily miles & steps. The sync is good for the price, guess shouldn't expect 100% accuracy

I love the caloric count as well as the steps and ...
I love the caloric count as well as the steps and 30 day memory. The only issue I have is that you must be careful not to bump it off your hip pocket if you are wearing it all day. Especially great if only for treadmill workouts!

Didn't work
I've had three of the Sync Activity Trackers before. They looked the same but were white instead of dark grey. They have all been excellent - I lost two and the third one finally wouldn't light up anymore, but they had each lasted about 3 years. Excellent value, so when the last one died, I ordered this one - the white wasn't available so I ordered dark gray. I guess it is a slightly different model, but it quit working within two weeks. I've replaced the batteries twice and it never works longer than a week. The screen goes blank and will randomly light back up, but it doesn't track the steps, so there is definitely something wrong with it. I can't even use it. I finally found a seller that has the white one so I ordered it tonight.
