Pretty Darn Sturdy
Thanks to the pandemic, I tried to be one of those insufferable people who talk about nothing but tea. It's not going well. I decided I needed legitimate cups and saucers for this new lifestyle and finally settled on these, as they were a reasonable price. The cups and saucers came in a very small package. Think the kind of small box where you are wondering if everything inside is just in shards. Luckily, they weren't! No chips. I don't know if that speaks to the packaging or the handling of the item along the delivery route. Either way, I got them no problem. The cups and saucers themselves are pretty nice. They feel heavy and the handles seem pretty sturdy. The set is four different cups, each with a matching saucer. I love them, which is good since they might be all that I have if this whole tea thing takes off for me.

Good alternative to Royal Albert
This was a great alternative to Royal Albert. Looks good at a much more affordable price.

Exactly what I wanted!
I'm not quite sure what the other reviewers were referring to about "roughness" having to be sanded down - perhaps the manufacturer corrected this, because I find these to be of similar quality to what I would find at a department store. They are lovely! They are intact because they were exceedingly well packaged, even coming in a chintz box with a ribbon on it - so it was a bit like unwrapping a present. (But inside each cup was in its own little padded cardboard box and the four saucers were in one box with separators.) . They will be perfect for the Valentine tea I'm hosting and can't wait to use them!

PERFECT -- EXCEPT, NO BOX
The cups are 100% shabby chic' fabulous. Beautiful, well weighted, good porcelain. BUT, mine did not come in the raved about Gift Box. They were bought as a gift. I had to scramble to make something happen for wrapping, which in the final rush wasn't as awesome, time consuming and frankly a bit of a bummer. Please seller-make it clear in the Top Heading pointers of this listing concerning the matching gift box...it matters. That said-I will most definitely be buying more as Christmas Gifts and a set for myself, preferably wrapped and/or offer the box as an option.

Great Value for the money | Not granny's finest!
These are super cute, definitely worth the 35-40 they cost. There are some noticeable flaws in one teacup set - looks like a lot of lint or fibers were on the saucer prior to glazing/firing - I tried to get photos of it.The matching teacup has marks on the inside - they look like scuff marks, but it's actually where the porcelain (or whatever material this is) didn't cover completely. They ALL (cups & saucers) feel a little rough, not smooth.I'm serious hoping these are appropriate for actual food/drink use as advertised.Again, not the best quality... but I didn't want to spend 35.00 on one teacup and saucer, so I'm getting what I paid for and am happy with my purchase.

Prettier in person!
I'm very happy my tea cups and saucers arrived in perfect condition, and they are just so pretty. Love the gold trim. The floral prints on the cups are good quality.Packaging was decent. The floral gift box came in a shipping box, and inside the gift box, the saucers and teacups are packaged in individual cardboard boxes. Although the saucers didn't have additional padding around them, it's ok as long as the delivery person doesn't drop these or handle the package too roughly.Planning to use these as succulent planters to gift to friends who are hosting a traditional tea time party :)Would not use these to drink out of due to the prop 65 warning, but as decorative items, these are excellent.
