A Revelation
I originally purchased a set of L8R-155's from my local Guitar Center for use with my ATC SCM-12SL home stereo speakers. The spec's for those speaker stands show that they can hold my 34lb bookshelf speakers and they sounded great on those stands...but seemed a tad flimsy for such heavy "little" boxes (with 18lb magnet assemblies for the woofers). And in actuality, IsoAcoustics recommends these L8R-200's for those ATC's. So, I purchased them here on Amazon as no retail outlet local to me carried this model in stock. The shipment fulfilled by Amazon arrived as a re-pack with torn plastics and pieces missing, but Dedicated Audio remedied this Amazon miss-step and I received a brand new set from Dedicated Audio themselves promptly. These are much sturdier than the 155's and I feel more confident in their ability to support these massive little ATC's.I have been around the stereo system "building" block a few times over the past 50 years or so, and have found IsoAcoustics speaker stands to be a revelation in reproducing the audio signal from my sources and amps. There are improvements I've had in my systems that have caught my ear and caused me to stop what I was doing and just sit and listen. My first Audio Note preamp did that as did my Croft preamp (tube preamps and solid state pwr amps!). But adding in these stands not only stopped me in my tracks but had me re-listening to my music for 11 hours straight! I find it difficult to relate specifically what I'm hearing in audio terms as they are just audio terms that can be interpreted by what one already experiences with their own gear....soundfield, dynamics, imaging, etc. This experience is a kind of energizing of my room with music type of thing. Very different from having my speakers Blu-tacked to my speaker stands (Sanus Ultimates). I think the word that comes to mind more often than not when I'm listening to music with my speakers sitting on these IsoAcoustics L8R-200's is....."Magic".

I think they are helping
The stands my speakers originally came with are deteriorating -- after 35 years I can't complain. One speaker stand had fallen apart, the other was ok. The isoACoustic isolation stand solved the problem of the speaker directly on the floor. They arrived promptly and were reasonably easy to put together. I would suggest using the IsoAcoustic web site to determine the size to buy -- they have an extensive speaker list. On my own I would have bought a size too small for my speakers.

Overpriced. But nice.
4 stars because this item is ridiculously overpriced. Should be priced around $50 in my opinion. It is molded plastic with some rubber inserts, and some painted metal tubes. Nothing special. I guess it is a luxury item with not many competitors to isoacoustics can charge whatever they want. Regardless, these are an elegant way to raise your monitor tweeters to ear level. Check the dimensions to make sure this size is good for you!

Do not hesitate in buying this stands
This IsoAcoustic stands are fire. I was going to get the cheaper Auralex Mopads but once I heard this I decided to spend the money. It will give your speakers a lot of clarity. The low frequencies sound clean as and the mids get a touch wider. The highs end up having a cool "airy" effect. Over all it is an amazing product. If you are looking to buy something like the Auralex Mopads I will recommend to spend a little more on the IsoAcoustics. Also, if you don't know which size to buy check out their speaker calculator. It will let you know exactly what size you will need.

Nice clean sound from here on out
Just set these up last night with my Mackie mk8's and mk10sub and noticed sound improvement immediately. My room is 12x15 with hardwood and plaster....I have used acoustic treatment to get rid of unwanted freq. but still found the mid-bass to be a problem. After setting my monitors and sub on these stands the wonky noise went away! Nice clean sound from here on out...gave four stars for the price to material ratio (I think I could have made these myself but might not look as nice). oh well

A++
If you're thinking about buying these, just go ahead and do it already. These are great stands. They're much sturdier than they may appear in photos and they provide great isolation and you can configure the height and angle to your heart's content. Also, they gave me some much needed room on my somewhat small desk as opposed to the Auralex pads. Those pads actually take up just as much space as the actual footprint of the speakers if not more while these actually give you more space while providing a better listening experience.Just get them.

Pretty sure mine was an "open box"
My speaker stands came partially put together with spacers in two of the small stands and 3 of the stands rolling around in the box. I was going to send it back but couldn't find any damage/scratches. This is a ridiculous price for the materials used. BUT, the difference from my prior stands to these is night and day.

Easy and quick to install and from the first track ...
I was skeptical at first but based on a professional review I decided to take a chance. Easy and quick to install and from the first track I played I could hear the difference. My wife who loves music but is not a critical listener walked in an hour after I started listening and instantaneously she commented on the difference in clarity. I know that some reviewers have complained about the price or the materials used but for $150 I have purchased a brand new pair of speakers. I have owned my speakers for 15 years and in 3 different houses and they have never sounded this good! My compliments to the folks at Isoacoustics.

These stands are great. yes
These stands are great. yes, they're made of a lightweight plastic but they're also very sturdy, and once the speakers are on them, they sit firmly on a solid flat surface. the idea behind the height adjustment is neat, although i only have them at the lowest height.good for Home or Pro studio use & reasonably priced.

Great item! Does exactly what it says on the tin!
These are really sturdy and really do make a difference to the tone/sound quality from the studio monitors, better, clearer, tighter bass and truly isolated from the desk. You really can hear the difference!

Worth it
Had these a few months now. They're on the pricey side but they are well designed and work a treat.

These stands do a great job of decoupling speakers from desks
These stands do a great job of decoupling speakers from desks. Tightened up my bass end really well. Yes, they're a bit pricey but they certainly do what they say on the tin.
