Just go and buy it :)
I read all the negative reviews here and looked at some YouTube vids but there was sufficient positivity about it I went ahead ... and am delighted. That is not to say people leaving negatives are wrong but the percentage game has to be played regarding any purchase.First observations compared to a GoPro ... it feels cheap. But it’s a tenth of the cost! and more importantly it does pretty much what my current GoPro does, nearly as well. And it’s a tenth of the cost :)I have now shot videos of my surroundings in sunny and cloudy (and both) conditions , a time lapse video, taken photos and filmed my boat under water and I really can’t believe how good it is.Yes, my white decks had a minor yellow tinge to them close up but the videos that you are more likely to shoot are so close to a GoPro that only a serious photographer would complain. But then again he wouldn’t buy one of these. The app loaded straight away and worked immediately. I downloaded XDV from the App Store and the camera and app recognised each other immediately. There are still a couple of things about it that confuse me ... I “think” it downloads to the app and stays there, even if you can find the download to iPad button. Which I can’t always. If it is keeping the video in the app then you are obviously using twice as much storage when you download to tablet. If you can.Did I say the download was confusing me?Need to play with that more. Also when I had about 10 short videos and some photos on the camera I’m convinced that I got a “download all” choice but now can’t find it.Currently downloading one at a time. Not the cameras fault.A tip.Download and read the manual!!!!How many times do we ignore that? It’s in English!!! REAL English.Turning on the WiFi using the menu buttons (that’s without reading the manual) involves 10 button pushes. Or do as the manual instructs ... just hold down the top button on the side for three seconds!Embarrassed smiley.Downsides? The battery door is terrible. I really thought I was going to have to get a very small screwdriver to flick it open. Eventually managed it ... it’s not hinged! Just fell on the floor. OK at home, not so good outside. Have left it out at the moment. An irritation is that it somehow set the time and date exactly ... itself! No idea how ... BUTIt has now gone back to 1/1/ whatever. NO HOLD ON ... the underwater video I took this morning showed 1/1/whatever ... I’ve just turned it on to see what the year whatever was and the time and date are correct. All I’ve done is connect to my iPad using the apps WiFi. How odd.Possibly resets when you take the battery out to recharge but annoying if you want the time stamp on the shot as I did when I was first changing settings and batteries.Oh and the excellent manual says the app doesn’t work with on an iPad.Yes it does!Did I say “Just go and buy it”? :))))

Excellent value and well built
Having read a few reviews outside of Amazon, I've been watching this camera for a while and had it on my wish list. When it came up as a flash sale offer recently, I went for it.For the money, this is a pretty good buy. It's a tenth of the price of a GoPro and yet has many of the features of the more expensive device. Video quality is good, especially in 4K mode and the various options, such as slow-motion, and time-lapse make if very versatile. The controls are simple and quite intuitive once you've read the manual (always read the manual!). WiFi control via a smartphone app, plus the wrist-worn remote control included, make for an even easier user experience. I haven't tried the waterproof housing yet, but it looks pretty well made and capable of keeping the camera dry, at least in the rain.An added bonus is that one of the several mounts supplied with the camera allow it to be fitted as a dashcam in the car. Switching on the Driving Mode option means that the camera will start/stop when the cars ignition is turned on or off, and Loop Mode means that even on long journeys, the camera will keep recording. It copes well with varying light conditions and even manages to capture useable images at night on unlit roads (provided you've got your headlights on!).All in all, a pretty good buy.

Great value starter action cam
I received this as a present and have only used it for a couple of days, it so far I am impressed with the ease of use and the results. Although the instructions are quite basic, it didn’t take long to figure out the various controls. The video quality is good under daylight conditions at 1080p and the still pictures are adequate as well. The one negative I have found so far is the battery door which is quite fiddly to open and is not attached to the body and looks rather flimsy and the sound quality when in the waterproof case is understandably weak. The camera comes with a good range of accessories for starters and two batteries, which is a bonus. The camera was easy to connect to my Mac and I was able to import the pictures and videos into Photos manually, without any problems.

Awesome value for money
Bought this action camera to replace an aging one I used on my motorcycle. It does the job well and it does endure a lot of abuse. Took it for a 300 km round trip and it didn't miss a beat. The remote is useful option. I have the camera set up in "driving mode", so it boots up and starts recording as soon as it sees power, but is nice to know that one can take pictures and/or start and stop recording at a push of a button. The image quality is awesome for the money. I would recommend it without a moment of hesitation. It would have been awesome if there were some sorts of image stabilization, but as far as I can see, the mounting support ( which there are plenty bundled with the camera) does an ok job at "stabilizing" the image.Speaking of the mounting options, you get a whole load of them. The 2 extra double sided sticky pads are excellent. The extra "door" for the waterproof case is nice to have, too.As I said, I would/will recommend it.

Great camera
My review of action camera.Been looking to buy a go pro camera but thought it to expensive for what I need , came across this make and had doughts about it because of price. Went ahead and about it anyway and was surprised on build quality and accessories it came with every thing I needed to attach to helmet , bike ,car etc. Play back has really good picture/ video quality, I found remote control very handy and easy to use .Glad I decided on this camera will be recommending it to others rather than paying over the odds for other cameras .
