Visual Logic Access Code 1st Edition

There is no book included with this purchase as mentioned by another review. It's just a cardboard envelope with a piece of paper in it. The piece of paper has a code on it. The card has instructions on it telling you to go to a website and fill out your personal information + the code on the paper. You then receive an e-mail with a file in it. This file in the e-mail is needed to unlock the full features and save capability of visual logic. You are also given instructions on how to download the visual logic software. In short, by buying this product, you are "buying" the ability to use visual logic to it's full capacity. In that regard, it worked perfectly for me. The software was easy to download, the instructions were easy to follow, and the software works as intended.

It's a simple access code. Nothing more. If you're looking for the access code and a book on how to use Visual Logic, buy that.If you're not sure if Visual Logic is what you need, download the free demo from http://www.visuallogic.org/ and when you realize that you want to save your projects, then you buy the access code that unlocks that ability.As for me, the access code works and that's all I needed.

The software is not being revised; neither is the associated book (A Guide to Working With Visual Logic, 2008). Cengage bundles this product with wonderful textbooks which are constantly being revised.The Visual Logic software is incapable of passing an Array argument By Value (a rather simple requirement of procedures). I found 20 typos/content errors in the 144-page book (and notified the authors last year). There is no online help, no undo-redo, no autosave, no date/time functions, and no easy way to clear the graphics window.Thus, Visual Logic is excellent when used within restrictive constraints by savvy instructors (note: Cengage offered no place to post my errata).

College course work

This products became very difficult to load and complete the necessary assignments for Computer Science 1. It would not allow you to use Microsoft 7 to upload the information, thus making it impossable to complete assignments.

too expensive to worthy the contents. Only buy it if your teacher requires it.
